When Nicholas flicks off the light and opens the door, their room is dark save for the Himalayan salt lamp on the nightstand dousing anything close enough in a soft red-orange hue. Seiji is already in his bed, changed out and under the covers with the glitter gone from his cheek, hair wavy and curling on his forehead, the way it does when it’s still damp. His profile is illuminated in a sunset glow that only emphasizes the intensity of his eyes as they watch him. Nicholas doesn’t miss his old nightlight, not even a little bit.
Swallowing, he tries feigning casualness by crossing his arms and leaning against the door jamb. “You’re gonna have to use actual words if you want me to cuddle you.”
They share a long combative stare and Nick knows he’s already won before Seiji glances away first, scoffing and scooting over to make some room. “Just get over here.”

Summary
There are a few things you can't escape when you have a childhood friend no matter how close you are. These are funny anecdotes, nicknames, blackmail and a bond that comes with a certain level of familiarity that only comes from knowing someone their while life whether you wanted to or not. Bakugo and Midoriya aren't special - they have avoided none of these no matter how much Katsuki tries to deny the bond that they share.
This is something that class 1a comes to find out as the powerful, problem pair drop nicknames, stories and show their familiarity with the other without realising that's kinda what they're doing.

She reaches out, placing her hands on her shoulders, and Hawks has to fight against instinctively dodging her touch. “There’s a difference between accommodation and admitting defeat,” she tells him seriously. “We can’t afford to leave a fight because the noise is overwhelming, but there’s no harm in stepping out to get some fresh air during a gala like this. You’ve gotta remember that you’re a person too, or you’re gonna work yourself to death before you hit thirty.”

“Jaybird!” Dick yells as soon as he pulls the double doors open, and Jason can see the trail of little ducklings behind him.
Duke, Steph, Cass, and Tim are in a neat line behind Dick, and they all look miserable. They’re all wearing pajamas, each with their own tissue box. Damian is standing apart from them with his arms crossed, and Alfred The Cat is perched precariously on his shoulder, but the illusion of an upset healthy prepubescent teenager is very obviously ruined by a very red nose, and the pale pallor of his normally deep tan.
Dick is the only one who doesn’t look miserable, and Jason laments his own health and simultaneously curses Dick’s extremely abysmal culinary abilities and prowess.
Jason has no words. He wants to step back, away from the sick children. He wants to go back to his germ-free apartment and watch the newest episode of Great British Bake Off with Roy.
He takes a step back.
