Stepping through the door meant stepping into an active war zone. A raging battle wasn't a guarantee, but it was a possibility. He had to place his feet carefully, avoiding landmines and trigger points that would would draw all available artillery in his direction. He had to monitor the enemy, doing his best to stay hidden and not draw attention, lest he provoke her.
But she wasn't there.
There was no one-sided battle to be lost.
Not anymore.

“So…” Reki’s head was pulled in the direction of Langa’s voice. Langa’s focus was on the building before them, scanning the boarded up windows and doors. He let out a small puff of a sigh before turning to Reki. “How do we get inside?”
The smirk took hold of Reki’s face before he could even sense it coming, and he could feel his brows wiggling with mischief. “Follow me.”
Reki is an urban explorer who streams his adventures. Langa is a ghost hunter with a decent following on YouTube. A chance encounter brings them together, and they decide to collaborate at a location Reki has been dreaming of exploring. But those dreams turn to nightmares as the sun goes down.

Everyone knows that corner is Reki's, the coffee shop he sings outside of even has weekend regulars because of his performances. So when a new busker steals Reki's corner on a Saturday night, he's not very happy about it.
But goddammit, the guy is good. Really good. It's hard to stay mad at such a talented pianist.

Hasegawa Langa never asked to be famous, but not all of the side effects of his newfound stardom completely suck. Having his own trailer on his first union production and getting paid more than he could have ever imagined are definitely bonuses. Oh, and he’s absolutely not complaining about getting to spend his days with Reki, the cute PA turned cast wrangler. The pros seem to outweigh the cons, making it easy enough to ignore some of the more... unnerving aspects of his unexpected popularity. But instincts aren’t meant to be disregarded, and that’s a lesson Langa wishes he’d never had to learn.

"Just one of those days?" Langa asked and placed a hand on Reki's back. He barely felt it through the crumpled, folded layers of fabric piled up on his shoulders, but it was definitely there.
"One of what days?" Reki mumbled with knit brows and a sudden burning need for more pressure, more contact, more… anything.
"One where things are just hard, for no reason." Langa scooted a bit closer and wrapped his arm around Reki's shoulders and selfishly, Reki leaned into him, savouring the brief squeeze that eased the weight in his chest ever so slightly.
