It had gone not long after they had; there had not been a human mage in hundreds of years, and humans now didn't seem capable of acquiring magic from their new monster neighbors.
A shapeshifting human child showing up out of the blue would have been a reason for celebration if she wasn't badly injured and terribly afraid. She latches onto the first monster to show her kindness- a tall and talented skeleton named Papyrus- and now he and his family need to find out what the hell is going on.

You, a dog person with a passion for rehabilitating the rough ones, had been asked to take in an unintelligent 'dog' monster by the name of Tib. He was shy, touch-averse, and made of bones, but ultimately a good companion for a quiet person like yourself. You were probably imagining the emotions in his eye sockets.
