If the room could get anymore tense, it did, and John just wanted it to swallow him up. He didn’t know what was happening, and thought maybe Roger hadn’t heard him correctly. So John reached out to touch his arm. And then blinding pain. John only just became aware that Roger had twisted his arm in such an angle, he was sure he could break it. John didn’t know what was going on, and his breathing quickened as his anxiety was sent through the roof. In his panic, John saw Brian run over to them and stand directly in front of Roger, making eye contact.
“Roger you need to let go. There’s no danger here,” Brian said in the gentlest voice John had ever heard. He felt the grip on his arm loosen a little.
“It’s okay Roger. There’s no danger,” Brian repeated. Roger dropped his arm and John spun around in time to see Roger look at him with the utmost hurt in his eyes, before vanishing.-------------------
John is sent to a home for young adults with 'special abilities', where he meets three interesting people who make him feel like he has an actual family again. His life seemed to have picked up, and John hoped it could stay like that forever. It didn't last very long. -

Freddie’s breath caught in his throat, and he vaguely heard the name of the hospital before he hung up, regardless whether the person on the other end of the phone was talking. “You okay?” Brian had faced away from his book, hazel eyes darting over Roger.
Roger furrowed his brows before taking another drag of his cigarette. He let the smoke linger in his mouth before blowing it out. “I’m fine. Why?”
Brian eyes still looked worried, as if he was reading Roger’s thoughts. Brian looked over him again, and Roger unconsciously sucked in ever so slightly. He knew that if he wasn’t careful he would become fat again. He already felt as if he was too big, his pudgy tummy becoming something that would make him look away from mirrors. The way his legs jiggled ever so slightly when he walked making him want to tense his muscles when he walked so no one else could see how hideous he was becoming. He didn’t know what triggered his relapse, but it was if all the compliments Brian had ever gave him were filtering into his mind as lies. Lies lies lies. He knew what he looked like.Series

“What?” Brian huffed, pulling Roger up higher against his side as the man started to droop.
“Don’t tell Brian,” Roger whispered with a giggle.
‘He’s so drunk he doesn’t even realise who I am,’ Brian thought as his brow furrowed at his friend’s words.

Roger scoffed. “You never mean to do anything Brian. How can I raise two kids, nearly three by myself? And it’s been like this for a while, even before we split. You were always so busy with doing stuff for the band or whatever that you never had time for us. You never had time for me!”----------
