But as Alison struggles to come to terms with her new normal life and the changes at Button House, her curiosity about her new housemate gets the better of her, and things take a turn when she discovers that they have a mutual friend.

He instinctively leaned away from the hand while trying not to move his head, as Charles, Lieutenant Epps, and Father Mulcahy appeared to have a brief conversation. They all looked slightly troubled, especially Father Mulcahy, whose eyebrows were knit tightly together, a hand wrapped around his rosary. ... God, this was infuriating, BJ thought, wishing he could understand what they were saying.
