Summary
As young as he was, John had an eerie sixth sense about certain things. Things that were off kilter with the rest of the world and he was drawn to them like a moth to a flame. Sometimes, he hated himself for it. Got himself into a bit of trouble now and again because of it.
John wouldn’t mind a bit of trouble now though.

Summary
There was a speech. It would start out with his apology, obviously. John always hoped for an apology whenever he thought Sherlock was doing something a bit not good, and well, this could be considered a bit not good. Lying. Faking a suicide. Sherlock had known it was going to hurt John, but really, it was for the best. It was for John’s safety. And Sherlock would explain all of that. Sherlock would be a hero in John’s eyes and just as soon as Sherlock saw that John was overwhelmed with relief and love and joy, he would confess those pesky three words that every person so longed to hear. Those pesky three words he so longed to say, because he knew in those moments he was no better than any other human when it came to love.
Everything reminds him of Sherlock. The couch, the skull, the smiley face on the wall. Experiments left unfinished in the kitchen, the dust on his desk. His chair manages to look the same, like its waiting for Sherlock to come into the room and sit down. John knows he’s certainly waiting for that to happen. The only difference now is the chair looks so blatantly empty, and John can’t help but wonder if he looks the same. He most definitely feels like it.

Summary
Proud and excited, Sherlock missed it. He missed the whole thing, even though he knew all of Mycroft’s tells, studied them for years. Sherlock was so adamant, so persistent, so… blind, and Mycroft was… scared. He had no idea how to tell Sherlock, even when to tell Sherlock. The microscopic section of Mycroft that was jealous didn’t even want to tell Sherlock, wanted to watch the surprise on his brother’s face.
“I need to go out, see London,” Sherlock had said, “I need to get to know it again.”
And just like that, he was gone. In a flash of words and a billowing coat. Just like always. Drama queen.
The urge to call John, to let him know, to warn him was overwhelming, but Mycroft forced himself to take a deep breath. He forced himself to calm down. This was all up to Sherlock, and he had to put all of his faith in John- faith that John wouldn’t break his heart. -

Summary
John registered the curly locks, the long coat, the blue scarf, those damn cheekbones. He looked almost exactly like he had when John has last seen him.
“We’re out of milk, John,” Sherlock pointed out, turning to face John, completely oblivious to the gun pointed at his face.

Summary
"It's always you, Sherlock Holmes," John says with the softest chuckle, mirroring a declaration made striding up a reception aisle. "I met Mary because you were dead, and I suppose it makes sense that I'd replace the most dangerous person I'd ever known with someone just the same. Although it merits a mention that you're wonderful and thrilling in so many ways that she isn't.”
In which Sherlock warns John of Mary's duplicitous nature before the wedding and John marries her anyway so they can figure her out, but along the way unexpected feelings and actions make it that much more complicated.

Summary
“Honeybees dance,” he settled on with a slight smile. “To communicate, they dance in patterns.”
“Seriously?”
“Yep. Mycroft used to read me a story about it, actually…” Sherlock replied. “It was called ‘The Bee’s Knees’, and he’d read it to me nearly every night.”
