Sometimes, you wonder if this was worth it. If any of this was worth it.
Traveling back in time… it was a risky thing to do. At the moment, it’d seemed like the only way, and maybe it still is.
But the three swords on your back certainly aren’t helping anything, and at one point you have to stop and wonder when everything started to feel so... numb.
AKA I wanted more Player angst so I smacked my hands on my keyboard and produced some sort of slow, hurt/comfort sickfic with copious amounts of suffering

These new survivors -- and killers, are all less than eighteen. The oldest one of them was the one with a Tin Pot on her head,, and she's sixteen. The youngest of the bunch was a twelve year old. Literally TWELVE. Before the green one, the youngest one in the survivor's limbo was Noob, who is twenty.
Sure, the new survivors were of great assistance and are incredibly skilled and useful in rounds, but again, they're CHILDREN. They shouldn't have even grasped the concept of death yet, let alone hell.
These kids who have already experienced hell, these kids who were tormented by an entity, tormented by their family, tormented by their friend...
Sure, they can stand it, but should they?
No.

The one praised, burdened with expectations they never asked for. What happens when the role begins to rot? When belief curdles into doubt, and the words "brave" and "selfless" feel like chains?
The voice in the dark says otherwise. It whispers softly, offering comfort that tastes like ash, telling them they no longer need to try.
Darkness does not devour all at once. It seeps in slowly, convincing the light to fade.
And when the last piece gives way, there is only silence.

Griefer knows something is up with them. Something changed about them, and now he's gonna get to the bottom of it.
Player doesn't understand why Griefer suddenly cares so much about them...They didn't deserve the attention, or at least that's what they think.
No matter what season, the evergreen stays standing tall and proud, always there in the time of warmth, always there in the time of cold. No matter how harsh the world gets, it's still there. When there's a need for shade and comfort it's still there.
Though the growth of the tree may start off rough and almost dangerous, the eventual shelter that blossoms from it is worth the pain.
