Summary
Wemmbu shrugs in reply, closes his eyes, ignores the blinding white behind his eyelids begging to be seen. "You don' have to explain, I understand dude."
He doesnt understand. He's not an angel, he wouldn't know what goes on up there in heaven or wherever Egg's from.
That's okay, though. Maybe it's just not his to understand. His words seem like they soothed Egg when he said them, so he'll pretend to know. Especially if thats what Egg needs.
OR: a soft, fleeting moment in eggchan and wemmbu's life.

“Bye, Parrot,” Wifies says, once the sound of footsteps fades.
Another day, he would have said that Parrot couldn’t hear him. Because in this situation, Parrot should walk up the stairs and walk exactly twenty-six steps away and wait for the sound of an explosion.
Another day, he wouldn’t be dying at all. So maybe he can’t predict Parrot all that well, anyway.

Wemmbu gives him a pitiful look. He's a pitiful kind of guy, that Wemmbu. He's terribly lucky that a scholar and hero as powerful as Eggchan has taken him under his wing.

Summary
They've walked halfway across the bridge when Lomedy turns on his heel to face him, making Flame freeze in place. "Dude, you need to stop doing that."
"What am I doing?" Flame asks immediately, leaving no room for Lomedy to doubt his innocence.
But Lomedy pouts, eyebrows furrowed, and it's an expression Flame hates seeing on his best friend's face, because it's clear that Lomedy sees right through his fake cluelessness.
"You know what. You think I don't notice you following me around all day?"
In the days following the Mist, Lomedy stays. Despite the relief this has brought Flame, his mind doesn't stop racing.

Summary
This is how it always goes. Flame walks into a fight, Lomedy digs into a wall or runs around nearby to split the enemy forces, and then when it’s done his best friend comes to find him and check him for injuries and throw an arm over his shoulder while they soak up the joy of surviving together.
Flame always finds him. Lomedy just has to huddle in the crevice he’s wedged himself into and wait.

The thing about Egg is, he’s not a fighter. It’s something Wemmbu has grown accustomed to over the years, and honestly, he wouldn’t have it any other way. The two of them work well like this: Wemmbu protects Egg from other people, and in return Egg remains fiercely loyal to him, the one constant in Wemmbu’s life.
But being the closest friend of the most notorious person on an anarchy server doesn’t come without a price, one that almost costs Egg his life over and over again. Luckily for Wemmbu, he pays it without hesitation each and every time.

During the 2v1000, Wemmbu dies.
It's all very tragic and sad, but not for Flame, because they're not friends. They're not, never will be. And he'd be perfectly fine wilfully ignoring the cloying, tight sensation in his chest if not for the fact that immediately after, he wakes up back in his bed on the morning before the battle.
Or, a time-loop of sorts, in which Wemmbu refuses to stay alive and Flame refuses to let him go

Summary
"These are Lomedy’s favorite kind of days.
The kind where nothing urgent or life-threatening happens, leaving him free to take care of his farmwork in peace. The kind where sunshine warms the earth without scorching it, falling across fields and skin alike as it paints everything in a soft golden glow. The kind with a light breeze that rustles through the grass and causes it to brush against his legs when he walks.
Tall grass sways gently around him now as he sits. He likes this spot, in the shade of an oak tree on a small hill overlooking the farm. It gives him a lovely view of his fields and animals while still being out of the way enough to feel separate.
From here he can see sprawling wheat fields, cows grazing peacefully in the sun, and the cluster of buildings at the edge of it all. Bittersweet in its loveliness, hard-won and not a life he takes for granted.
Right here, right now, he doesn’t think there’s anything in the entire server that could possibly ruin this moment.
'Ashen? Here, boy!'
Ugh. Nevermind."
Or: Three times Lomedy felt the need to check Flame's pulse despite him standing right in front of him, and one time Flame did the same to him.
