Summary
The campaign for Eldin is going about as well as anyone could expect. Keeping the wolfboy focused on infiltrating the fallen shrines - and only the fallen shrines - without losing more of his blin warriors to Zant's control proves more challenging with every passing week.
The whole army knows by now their King and the besieged Princess are lovers.
Ganondorf finds it difficult to care.
He craves her clever conversation as much as he longs for her gentle hands, and he keeps a growing pile of her precious letters by his pillow.
Zelda waits, watching from her tower as her king and the hero both work in their own way to free her country from the Twilight. Ganondorf is so much of what she hopelessly longed for in a true consort, a match of equals. Complicated and bitter and cagey, but real.
If they can prevail, if they can forge a true alliance, if they can bring Light and Shadow into harmony again, there is hope for tomorrow.
The sun shines once more on Hyrule Castle.
Victory begins to seem possible...
A collaboration written for the 8th bonus day of Zelgan Week, 2025, leveraging a prompt that didn't make this year's final cut: Garden

Summary
Two kingdoms, both alike in dignity -
A long-forgotten war returns to plague fair Hyrule, reviving ancient enmities and dangerous powers. Hyrule dreams, the spirits of her people adrift in the Zant’s shadows. The mageborn monarch of Twilight escapes her would-be assassin and seeks among the light-dwellers of Hyrule for a Champion. Midna & Link hunt the twisted monsters under Zant’s command. They fight to restore the shrines of Hyrule’s land guardians & raid sanctuaries for fragments of ancient magic to retake her country.
A cursed princess and a fallen king must find common ground before the cruelty of the usurper can destroy both worlds. Ganondorf fights two wars: one of secret steel & subtle magic to weaken ancient chains & subvert Zant; the other, his own spirit threatening the tenuous alliance with the Crown Princess Zelda, who will stop at nothing to free her country from the darkness. He covets the same relics Midna hunts to free himself from Zant & his own endarkened destiny before his beloved princess can discover his sins...
In the fullness of time, all wheels turn.

Ganondorf has learned patience, at great cost. He has tracked the aspiring hero to the tower of the gods and the enchanted gate leading down through it to the sunken ruins of Hyrule castle itself. There he will wait, and there the child will bring the remaining Triforce shards and the sword with which he will key a new seal.
But not yet.
First there is a waverat to educate in her own history, and the legacy of the Sacred Maiden and all her bloodline has woven in the world... if he can persuade her to slightly less violence than usual.

Summary
Link must sail alone to restore the power of the sword of evil's bane, and Tetra must wait.
The pirate queen is not used to waiting.
Nor is she entirely certain how to feel about her strange company: a ghostly voice in the amulet stone her mother passed down to her, and a grumpy old sorcerer from Hyrule's past...

Summary
Hyrule has fallen into memory and legend beneath the waves. Those who were warned by the prophecies of Zelda Rainbringer fled to the mountains in that age of storms, and built new lives.
Zelda Iseult DeLeon is a direct descendant of that long-ago refugee Princess, heir to the powers in the bloodline of Hylia, for whatever that's worth to an adjunct professor at one of the better academies on Triardu. Tradition demands little enough in her era -- some pageants and parades on the old holy days, a certain responsibility to maintain the Chronicles for the next generation, a knack for predicting mundane events and a sixth sense about people.
Then the dreams started.
They were easy enough to explain away... at first. Loneliness, longing, the fantasy of The Perfect Lover. Idle romantic fancies. Season by season the dreams escalate in frequency and visceral intensity, until she begins to doubt they are dreams at all. But what else could they be? She confesses troubled sleep to her dearest friend, and the vaguest sketch of the red-haired shadow haunting her restless nights, but no more... until the pressure is too great to bear.

Summary
Twice, Hyrule has tried to bind and slay Ganondorf Dragmire, king of the Geld’o, leader of bandits, dark sorcerer, demon king, mortal avatar of the vengeance of a dead god. He is no longer a young man, and the world itself has radically changed since the reigning Hylian King demanded the gods send a mighty flood to destroy the kingdom to keep Ganondorf from seizing control of it.
It is said the third time is the charm — and three is a powerful number in a world created by the Golden Three in harmony. Ganondorf has risen again in his own flesh to walk the mortal world, establishing a fortress and fleet of demonkin to search the Great Sea for the power he needs to finally manifest his greatest desires.
But when the blood moon rises, the vastness of the world and his long campaign drops away, turning his focus inward… and drawing back the veils dividing the living, the dead, and the world of dreams…

Summary
Or: So You Read a StudioRat Fic and You Have Questions
In no particular order, non-exhaustive, but the first chapter might be an outline, and the chapter titles are going to (attempt) to be self-explanatory
Rated T because we might be getting into discussions of grown-up topics in an academic sort of tone.
Updates will be irregular, things will sometimes appear out of order (though I have developed a chapter system), basically you've opened my desk drawer looking for answers and this metafic is the papers that fell on the floor in the process. Contributions from other folks who have found my work helpful will be added when they blossom into existence.

Summary
The Eccentric deserter-turned-architect Vah Link Vohenia is known among all the workmen's guild to be a demanding master.. To work for Vohenia was to bring one's best, and he paid according to that expectation of excellence.
Anyone with eyes could see he carried ghosts that took the measure of his work in turn. A certain amount of discreet gossip was allowed, even expected. New hands were warned once and only once to mind that their whispers stay firmly on the correct side of The Line.

Summary
Scholarly commentary on the Origins of a particular genre of tavern song with so many versions it has become its own genre. The earliest recorded version with reputable provenance dates from the early years of the Pax Hylia, though most scholars agree that linguistic curiosities in the first seven verses suggest the unknown bard began the composition during the Dark Times preceding that peace.
