“You’re here to learn about being a hero, kid,” Aizawa said, shifting to seem more relaxed.
“I don’t want to be a hero. Heroes are corrupt. Endeavor is a prime example. He’s even the number one hero now. I’d rather you lock me in a mental hospital like he did to my mother than learn to be a fraud,” Shouto said and the room filled with thick tension.
“Not all of us are frauds,” Nedzu said, looking at him.
“Yet you still allow people like my sperm donor to watch over your people, your country. Yeah, he saves people, you save people, but you hurt people too. Just like him...” Aizawa noticed how the boy seemed to space out, letting his sentence trail off.

“You were the first person I trusted besides my brother, and you broke that trust.” Shouto admitted quietly, to his former classmates, and to himself. He shook his head, disappointed. Heroes always seemed to break that fragile trust that people placed on them. This would be the last time he would make that mistake. Nii-san would be proud of him.
“Todoroki-kun…” Midoriya whispered. Shouto didn’t listen to the other murmurs of his former classmates. His mission here today was only for one thing.
To reveal his position.
He smiled sadly to himself, gazing down at the ground, and sighed in disappointment. “It was a plea for help, Midoriya, and you didn’t come and save me like the hero you’re training to be.”

Iida choked on his orange juice, putting the cup down quickly and wiping his face with a napkin. He took off his glasses and cleaned them before putting them back on his face, adjusting them a few times before looking at Shouto weirdly. “Ah.” He shook his head a few times. "For a minute I thought that you made a…" He trailed off. "Never mind."

“I thought it was just you, but damn, look at the other Todorokis!” Kaminari laments, sighing dramatically as he collapses backwards into the couch, “It’s not fair, you’re all too pretty!”
Shouto would normally keep what he’s about to say to himself, but something compels him to voice the dark humor that immediately flashes in his mind.
“Thank you. We’re designer.”
From the kitchen table, Izuku and Katsuki choke on their respective drinks, hacking and coughing as they desperately try not to suffocate at the sudden remark.
