Heroes always seemed to break that fragile trust that people placed on them. This would be the last time he would make that mistake. Nii-san would be proud of him.
“Todoroki-kun…” Midoriya whispered. Shouto didn’t listen to the other murmurs of his former classmates. His mission here today was only for one thing.
To reveal his position.
He smiled sadly to himself, gazing down at the ground, and sighed in disappointment. “It was a plea for help, Midoriya, and you didn’t come and save me like the hero you’re training to be.”

Shouto would normally keep what he’s about to say to himself, but something compels him to voice the dark humor that immediately flashes in his mind.

“Since when did you have a fucking credit card?” Katsuki asks one day, red eyes boring into a simple golden-colored credit card as it had just personally insulted his own bloodline.
“It’s not mine,” his boyfriend finally answers. “It’s my father’s. He lent it to me last week during family dinner."
“So, the dumpster fire gave you his credit card, freely without restriction, and you just placed it on your table without doing anything to it?” Katsuki sat backwards on the chair, making it so he could meet Shouto’s gaze from the bed.
“... Yes? What was I supposed to do other than that?”
“Well, what's the use of having your dad's golden card if you don't spend all of his life savings? He has money to buy 20 something yachts and still has enough to pay my rent until I’m retired anyway.”
Something akin to a lightbulb almost visibly lit up on top of Shouto’s head. There’s that scheming, sly smirk on the other’s face again, the one that literally screams about the impending doom Shouto is about to bring. If only Katsuki knew just how big of an avalanche he’d caused.
