Summary
Short consideration of what keeps Doctor Who living as a show, OR, They invented regeneration, too, OR, Open the gates and ring the bells.
I liked the episode. I guessed the episode WITHOUT leaks or gimmes. I guessed why 14 came with 10's face, and what was motivating him and what he needed, and while I did not know for sure how they'd script it, I was sure he was somehow going to get the ending they gave him. So I am both proud as punch, and tickled, and I like the outcome. BUT--I like it for reasons above and beyond vanity, and this is just a tiny peek in at the narrative need for change for a show like Doctor Who to keep on keeping on.
Regeneration, bigeneration, Time Children, Fugitive Doctors, alternate time lines, you name it, Doctor Who uses it to open new lines of story-telling. And Bless them for it. Alleluia.

Summary
Just a bit of time taken from existing narrative. The Tardis has escaped the "slow bomb." Donna has been rescued. Donna and the Doctor remain on the floor of the Tardis, as shown, his arms around her, as they recover--maybe even nap. The Doctor thinks. (Thinks-thinks-thinks-thinks...)
BRAG: I wrote this BEFORE finding the bi-resurrection leaks OR the show airing. I DEDUCED it. And it did intend to suggest a resolution for Tennant's Doctor similar to that indicated at the end of Giggle. I. Deduced. It. (Brag-brag-brag!)(Yes. Laugh at me. But it makes me happy!)

Summary
A possible single plot and theme thread occurred to me, something that would tie all three projected seasons together. This is more than just a skeleton to hang the series on. It's a concrete point of the whole thing. If I am right (or write) I would then need to start figuring out what provides the best thematic resolution...and what the role of narrativium is in a world that has been argued to be both preordained AND free-willed. Do you believe in a divine pre-destiny or a divine gift of choice?

Summary
Everyone has a soulmate. Everyone. It's simple human biology. Over the course of every person's life, they develop tattoos of the things their soulmate loves most.
Though he has always disliked the concept, Mycroft Holmes is painted from head to toe with dozens of brightly-coloured tattoos. Greg Lestrade, once-firm believer and hopeless romantic, has just nine. They are all quietly sophisticated, sketched in smooth shades of black and grey and easy to hide.
Neither of them has gained a tattoo in years. But when they both suddenly find new markings, things finally fall into place.

Summary
Crowley is a pining mess in the South Downs Cottage. He finds something close to solace, close to kinship, in the strange things in the depths of the sea.
Aziraphale pulls him to shore.
And presses him against a garden wall.

"Do you remember? I do. The wash of this. That’s what water does, it erodes over time. This love of you, it’s shaped me into something else. I open and this thing I have for you rushes in like a tide, eager and saltbright and powerful. It happened slow, over millennia, but it’s never not been happening, not since I met you."- Language:

Bookmarker's Notes
This is developing into an intriguing and very nicely written spin on Lestrade and Billy Wiggins that takes them out of the familiar setting and situations under Mycroft's command. The characters are being extended well beyond anything we've gotten to see in BBC canon, but they're plausible, have the right feel, and the development is fascinating. Solid writing throughout, so far. Right now I'd tend to say it feels like it is AU, but there's still room for it to slip into canon as we know it. If you like seeing secondary characters expanded on, or semi-AU material on the edge of fitting, I really do recommend this so far. Give it a look.

Summary
"Afraid I'll embarrass you?" mocked Sherlock, looking up suddenly, his stare spearing Mycroft where he sat.
Sherlock was too thin, too dirty - it was always a bad sign when he neglected personal hygiene - and he looked as if he hadn't slept for a week.
"Oh, that ship sailed some years ago. You've been vocal enough about what you don't want. So tell me, brother dear, what is it you do want?"
"You to leave me the fuck alone," said Sherlock venomously.
Several heads turned. Mycroft ignored them. He took such incidents for granted when he was with Sherlock and had never cared what strangers thought - unless required to do so by his job.

Very nice Mystrade, with respect for both characters as adult professionals. It's a bit dated--but if fans had to refrain from writing until the show was ended, fanfic would suffer a great loss. This is a lovely thing...

Bookmarker's Notes
Caught without time to read this properly; had time to skim it properly though. Good work, interesting premise, and deserves more attention than it's getting. Greg and Sally facing the challenges implied by lives in half-shadow--CAM territory.
