Summary
Castiel's spent most of his adult life keeping his head down and staying out of trouble. This is a deliberate choice on his part, because as a cousin of the King, he'd rather stay unimportant and forgotten. This changes abruptly when King Michael decides that he has a better use for Castiel: he is to be wed to a noble member of the neighboring Republic, as part of an agreement between their two nations.

Summary
Ever since they were two years old, Dean and Castiel have been best friends. Growing up together, side by side, they cannot remember a time when their lives were not irrevocably intertwined.
That is until the night that Dean announces that he is joining the army, just three days before he leaves for training. Castiel, who has never been a fan of change, now has to learn how to live life when his best friend is not only a couple of houses away.
Over the next few years, the long periods of time apart and the hundred of miles distance are both different and difficult for them to accept.
However, as the saying goes, "absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Summary
Dean lasts three months.
Dean does what Sam tells him, keeps his distance, lets Cas pass him again and again, but Dean’s never been good at being patient, because after weeks and weeks of Dean’s longing growing and growing, all it takes is for Cas to meet his eyes one time and Dean snaps.
Cas is too slow to escape him.
Dean pins him up against the door of his bedroom before Cas can even turn the knob.
For a long time, Dean can’t get his tongue to work. For a long time, they sway against the door, and when Dean knows that he’ll never be able to get a word out, at least not without turning into a blubbering mess, he just closes his eyes and leans his forehead against Cas’ and Cas inhales then, sharp and surprised.
“Dean,” Cas says, softly, gently, and Dean can feel the tears sliding down his cheeks.
a coda to 15.18, 15.19 and 15.20 where Dean and Cas reunite and there's a very happy ending because I'm a sappy person and because happiness is what they deserve

Summary
Watching Dean cook breakfast after a long night of steamy passion is something Castiel gets to witness on nearly every Sunday morning.
The only problem is that the meal in question is never cooked for him.
Because he’s never the one spending the night with Dean.
He’s just the roommate.
Which is something he’d like to change very much.
But believing that his feelings will eventually run their course (and that Dean isn’t interested, anyway), Castiel plans to silently endure the smudge of awkwardness he’s left to experience in order to not complicate things.
When Dean injures his shoulder and finds himself in need of Castiel’s help, however, Castiel realizes that it will be easier said than done.
