Summary
Cale’s near complete inability to properly take care of himself was a well known thing to those both in and outside of his close circle of friends.
Overworking himself to the point where he coughs up heaps of heaps of blood and insisting he’s “completely fine” (despite being faint and on the verge of collapsing) was quite normal too.
What most don’t know however, is that his hyung, the Crown Prince of the Roan Kingdom, one Alver Crossman, was about 10 times worse about self-care than his dongsaeng.
Which led him up to his current situation.
“Your highness, the shining sun of the Roan Kingdom, oh how bleak my day was before being blessed by your brilliant radiance.” Cale began, scammer smile already in place. He held it for a moment longer before promptly dropping it.
“You know,” Cale continued, munching on a cookie he had somehow raided from Alver’s cookie jar without him seeing. “For all that you berate me about not taking care of myself, you seem to lack the ability to take your own advice. It seems that you don’t even have the energy to reply back to me this time.”

Summary
It's obvious Alver is seriously swamped with work if he's trying to enlist Cale for help. Even more so since Cale agreed. He's stressed and he's tired and he could really use a break, and Cale is getting a bit concerned. There has to be something to help relieve some tension. After running through a few ideas, Cale arrives at a very common, simple way of stress relief.

Summary
First Princess Aurelia Crossman is many things: smart, capable, politically savvy, and, least noticeably, not a princess. Alberu can thank the Queen for needing to hide his birth name and gender to stay alive, but at least this way he can maneuver for the throne in secret. Even if he’s having a hell of a time trying to get to it.
The first son of the Henituse Family, Cale Henituse, is also many things: irreverent, lazy, chaotic, and, least noticeably, not an idiot. It’s not like he wanted the Henituse territory management job to begin with, and Heir Basen is way better at numbers than he is. Even if sometimes he might want someone to see him for who he is, and not for the reputation he’s sacrificed for his family.
Even if that’s an infuriating princess he’s stuck in contract betrothal with.

Kabru makes the strangest face (and Kabru makes so many strange faces to things Laios says these days), before saying, “Not—well. Maybe a little bit. Not that I—just be careful of anyone who propositions you at the wedding, okay? They might want you just for your crown, not for you.”
“Why don’t they just say that, then,” Laios can’t help but mutter sulkily.
Kabru rolls his eyes. “Because that’s not how politics works.”
Laios sighs. “I really hate politics…”
“I know, that’s what you have me for,” Kabru replies, a small smile on his lips.
Or in the midst of helping plan his sister's wedding, Laios realizes that his feelings towards Kabru might be more complicated than he had thought.

Summary
When he closes his eyes, he sees a portrait. The one of Laios, sat on his throne, dressed in his finery. Sometimes it feels like it’s painted inside his eyelids or framed somewhere on the back of his skull. It’s an image Kabru has always liked, ever since the day it got hung up. The king’s likeness captured near perfectly, with all his nervous edges buffed out. He looks like he belongs there.

There is something about the lightness of his hair - his eyebrows, his eyelashes - and the way his freckles dust his cheeks that makes Kabru feel violent. He stares at the long, pale plinth of his neck. He thinks he might have to leave lest he try to snap it. It’d be so easy - so much of it exposed with his head tilted back.

Laios twiddles his fingers and readjusts his phone on the table. “Uh. Well. I emailed it to him yesterday. It’s a bit different from what I usually write, so I’m sure that’s why it’s taking him longer than usual to beta it.”
Laios never meant to develop a reputation as a monsterfucker novel writer, but it had just sort of ended up happening, and his editor Kabru is dragged along for the ride.

He’s still hugging himself hard. Slowly, Roxanne reaches over, and rests a hand on the back of his shoulder. Megamind twitches but doesn’t pull away, so she slides her palm up until she can push her fingers in under his and net them with his much longer ones. Pushing up under his hand.
She had already sort of expected this downswing. And it's certainly okay if Megamind needs to be low…but…
Gently, she says, "Barnacles are crustaceans."
She sees him frown, and then he lifts his head a little and turns and squints at her. "Excuse me?"
"They’re not molluscs," she insists, earnest, still very gentle. "They’re crustaceans. Arthropods."
His expression pulls into what Roxanne can only describe as ‘fascinated horror.’
"No," he says, "that’s fake. You’re lying."
