Zhongli looks down at the adorable but wriggly (and hissy) mass of orange fur in his arms that he’s been trying to calm for the past hour. “Indeed. I have a fox.”
“Why do you have a fox?”
The fox tries to twist out of his grasp with an angry snap of its little jaw. Zhongli merely tightens his hold and ignores its very cute yips of protest. “I found him wandering the streets of Liyue Harbour, lost. I thought it prudent to bring him home in case he got hurt.”
--Zhongli, the old and jaded Geo Archon of Liyue, finds an unexpected companion in the form of a feisty fox spirit who so happens to be one of the Tsaritsa's youngest lieutenants in disguise.

A month passes before the invitation arrives by way of wisp.
It is Venti’s, unquestionably, his looping handwriting, his seal. “To my favorite yaksha,” the opening reads, and Xiao finds his face heating furiously. Venti always manages to find a way to fluster him, even from miles away.
It is an invitation to another festival, a “small, intimate gathering” that Xiao is certain will involve the entirety of Mondstadt, if not more visitors from other nations. Still, Venti promises him a good time, and he has not yet lied to Xiao.

A young man named Venti is rescued by the Vigilant Yaksha, and saves his rescuer in turn. The two slowly navigate just what their time together truly means. But, Venti is a man without memory, yet with a face as familiar as it is foreign. With this life he finds with Xiao, the question then becomes... What path can one take, when new memories meet old?
Trying to finish ASAP, updates should be more frequent.

Equilibrium is something that Venti Carmen-Dei never really cared about pursuing.
Because, why would he? Venti is the finest aerospace cadet that the Celestial Academy has seen in over a century. He is son to the legendary intergalactic pilots Istaroth and Decarabian, as well as current successor to Celestia’s presidential throne. He is a Dei, a descendant of the inaugural starborns. He’s obviously destined for greatness.
The last thing he needs is to blindly rely on some other cadet to pull their own weight in battle while not getting the both of them killed. Venti can watch his own back just fine.
His main focus right now is to graduate at the top of his class and secure his name as the Academy’s most promising cadet in history. But, his plans may be threatened by the arrival of a new earthborn cadet - one who is quickly winning the favour of the Academy, much to Venti’s dismay.
No, he’ll exceed his family name. All he needs to do is stay one step ahead of this new cadet. And, surely he’ll be able to prove himself during their cohorts’ first official mission - one which both of them are being assigned to - right?

But when simple lessons turn into late-night talks and hesitant affection grows into a fragile bond, Xiao begins to question everything he thought he wanted—and what he truly feels. After all, he doesn't want Venti... does he?
Note 1: I've grown as a writer... a lot. Sooo~ my writing style will change as the chapters go on—thank you for joining me on this journey! I know it’s a bit rough. ehe~
Note 2 (Chapter 14+): There's a lot of denial/pining going on... like, a ton. It's enough to seriously consider opening a bottle of dandelion wine during editing... because, seriously, they're driving me nuts.

To the right, there was no one. To the left, no one. So, Venti used his very last resort.
Reaching over the counter, he took Xiao's hand into his, pulled him uncomfortably close, and grinned.
“He’s right here,” he lied. “Xiao’s my boyfriend.”
…
“Huh?”
They had an agreement: for six months, Xiao would pretend to be Venti’s boyfriend to get a stalker off his back. In return, Venti would grant him any favor he wanted—no questions asked. Once their time was up, they’d part ways and never speak again.
It was supposed to be no strings attached. But with every day spent “pretending” with Xiao, Venti could feel his resolve slipping.
Was he in over his head? Definitely. But a little fun never hurt anybody…

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng are best husbands trying to navigate a rapidly changing world, Feng Xin and Mu Qing are idiots in love, and Ling Wen needs a break. Also, after achieving his revenge, He Xuan decides to use his big brain to pursue a PhD in marine biology, because we already know that he loves fish.
There will be chaos. There will be shenanigans. There will be fluff. And there will be Pei Ming.
