"If I didn't know you better I'd say you let one of the children in here to draw in your sketch book." The low timbre of Al-Haitham's voice sent tiny shivers down his spine and momentarily sobered the architect up.
"The Muses doesn’t sympathise me enough to for a drink with me tonight, my junior." Al-Haitham hummed in acknowledgement as Kaveh continued on. He pats the chair right of him in the bar isle. "You sympathise about me right, Haitham?" He pleads to Al-Haitham.

The sun in Sumeru City is softer, always filtered through branches and leaves and clouds. But out here with no shade or shelter, it is unrelenting and harsh, glittering over the myriad sands. Summary
Ever since he was a child, Kaveh had always felt emotions deeply. His mother would always call him a ‘wonderful, sensitive boy’, but could never understand when Kaveh’s sadness was no less than despair, when his happiness bubbled into euphoria, when his anger would explode into unwarranted fury.
So, naturally, it follows that his current roommate didn’t just piss him off; he made him positively livid.
--
In which the symptoms of Kaveh’s narcolepsy were unknowingly suppressed by the Akasha for his whole life; that is, until the Akasha system shuts down.

“I’m curious,” Alhaitham continues with a quirk of the brow, “How would you define dreams? Are dreams not abstractions that wisdom rejects?”
“As a child, I was told that I could either go off to become an engineer, or live out in the streets chasing delusions and waste my genius.” Kaveh scoffs in bitter recollection. “I’m used to rejection.”
In which Kaveh spends a lifetime dreaming.

Summary
Kaveh raises his hands, palms up. "I have nothing to give, Al-Haitham," he says, and the other's eyes grow fierce.
"You do not have nothing, Kaveh," Al-Haitham says roughly. "You may have buried yourself in your self-doubt, but you are relentless. You shine even when the moon takes governance of the sky."
Kaveh gapes at Al-Haitham. "So what I'm hearing," he says slowly, "is that you will not kick me out for the time being."
"What you're hearing is that I will wait for you," says Al-Haitham.
After all this time, Kaveh has yet to unpack his bags.

Summary
The beautiful sky. The susurration of the river. The circle of trees surrounding a lake in the distance. Kaveh drank in the sights of what must be paradise.
But was paradise supposed to be so empty? There was only the ebb and flow of water, the faint rustling of leaves on the trees. Not another heartbeat, not another breath.
Kaveh should be long dead.
~
Al Haitham's scheme to overthrow the Sages fails, leading to Kaveh's imprisonment. One execution later, Al Haitham and Kaveh try to pry each other from the grasp of death.
Loosely inspired by one scene from tgcf. Extremely loosely.

Summary
“How unfortunate for you to have someone that cares about your wellbeing.”
Kaveh laughed. “Is that what it is now? I wasn’t just disturbing your sleep?”
“Believe what you like.” It was both. Unfortunately for Alhaitham, he did care about Kaveh’s wellbeing, which is why he chose to do things like this. But it seemed no matter how often Alhaitham explicitly stated this, Kaveh would brush it off. It was a dance they had done for years, and Alhaitham didn’t make any more effort to make Kaveh understand he was serious. Kaveh wouldn’t believe him, or he would choose not to. It wouldn’t change anything if Kaveh believed it. Alhaitham would still be going through the motions of getting him to sleep in his bed on nights like this. They would still be having the same arguments. This was just another thing that had become a fact for Alhaitham about his life. Alhaitham cared about Kaveh. He would continue to care about him and for him, and Kaveh would continue to dismiss it. This was a fact that Alhaitham had learned to accept, ignoring the annoying twinge of pain that came with it.

Kaveh said, a mischievous smirk appearing on his face, "You know, it's been a while since we last slept together. Since I live in this house, I should be allowed to use all of the furniture in it, so would you apologize in your bed?"
Alhaitham paused for a moment, considering the proposal, and then said, "You want makeup sex? If it was as simple as that, you could have said that earlier."
Alhaitham accidentally took Kaveh's keys.

Summary
"I just want to make you feel good, alpha," Alhaitham says with a deadpan tone and expression. "Won't you let this omega make you feel good?"
"Ugh, you—!" Kaveh knows he's being made a fool of. "You annoying little...! Can't you go even a second without trying to make fun of me!?"
"No," comes Alhaitham's immediate reply, his eyes shining with amusement. He leans a little closer, his voice lowering coyly. "Now, will you let me pleasure you, Kaveh?"
Kaveh has nothing to retort with.
