In which Kaveh and Alhaitham break up and are forced to stay roommates given a series of unfortunate circumstances. In an effort to go on the rebound, Kaveh downloads an app to meet hot young singles in his area. Apparently, his area means his apartment. But Kaveh doesn't know that, and neither does Alhaitham.
Or, they break up and start sexting each other on an app without knowing it.

“You’re glowing.”
Alhaitham rolls his eyes in an automated response, as if he wasn’t considering a similar sort of sentiment just a moment ago. “That's a new one.”
Kaveh scoffs as he settles on top of him. “I mean it quite literally, actually.” He motions towards Alhaitham’s chest.
Much to his own surprise, he finds that Kaveh is right. The emerald gem, nestled between his collarbones, resting below the hollow of his throat, is glowing–actually glowing. He watches it in confusion as it almost seems to pulse in a steady rhythm.
Alhaitham makes a discovery the first time Kaveh accompanies him to the desert.

“I… think I’m together with Alhaitham.”
In Kaveh’s mind, the scenario goes like this: he would announce that he had a secret to tell, his beloved friends will drop everything and listen to him with rapt attention, and when he does eventually drop his bombshell, said beloved friends react in utter shock — eyes wide, jaw hanging.
But instead, in the most placid, decidedly unaffected manner, Cyno says, “We know.”
Kaveh navigates his relationship with Alhaitham.

With the constant clash of emotions versus rationale, it's no surprise that Kaveh is an excellent mirror to Alhaitham. That is until Kaveh finds an ever-present pain in his chest won't cease, and he can only deny his feelings for so long.

Summary
Kaveh starts a garden, right outside the window his drafting desk faces.
At first, it’s not much. A few sprouts here and there, and a few flowers he managed to convince Tighnari to let him transplant. Tighnari had offered to help, but Kaveh, stubbornly as ever, had refused, saying this was something he needed to do on his own.
(Tighnari has the kindness not to ask if it’s really gardening that’s on Kaveh’s mind.)
In which friends with benefits comes with more issues than benefits. Or, Kaveh learns what it means to fall without guardrails.

Summary
Alhaitham understands that Kaveh was bound to adapt things from Fontaine, after his stay there for an entire year; the food he ate, the books he read, and the clothes he wore. That includes the corset he wears this morning to accentuate his tiny waist.
Alhaitham is sure that his beloved little shit did it purposely, because Kaveh knew that Alhaitham is very much into that.

A few weeks have passed and the Akademiya have yet to find a proper candidate to become the Sages, let alone to fill the Great Sage’s seat.

It's a crime to ignore him like this.

Contrary to popular belief, the well-known stoic Sumeru Scribe’s love language was acts of service–though it was strictly reserved towards very few individuals that Al-Haitham cared about. It wasn’t that Kaveh hadn’t noticed it before. Truth be told, he simply refused to acknowledge it, purely out of pettiness due to the nature of their relationship and jealousy.
Until it all changed one night.

Everybody deals with grief differently.
