He slips his eyes closed, and lets his mind drift. He’ll have finished work in about two hours, he can hold out until then. Alhaitham can go home soon. Maybe Kaveh will be home, and have started cooking dinner. Alhaitham really can’t be bothered cooking himself dinner tonight.
What did Kaveh say he was up to today? Seeing a client? Alhaitham can’t exactly remember. They had been otherwise occupied in the morning, after all.
Something ignites in Alhaitham’s stomach at the memory. Waking up to Kaveh in his bed, the sunlight glittering off his golden hair.
Alhaitham is, for a lack of better term, completely obsessed with Kaveh, and cannot wait to get home to him.

"A dozen Fatui researchers are dying to get ahold of you," says Alhaitham. "The only reason you're safe in my bed, instead of being dissected on an operating table, is because I declared that you're under my protection."
He yanks on Kaveh's hair. "Don't make me regret it."
Or, Kaveh is captured by Alhaitham, a member of the Fatui.

“Kaveh, Kaveh,” the Grand Sage repeats with a shake of his word. His grip on the blond’s chin tightens. “Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.”
“I don’t know what’s running around in that head of yours, nor do I know what you even plan to do to me.” The architect levels his glare but falters when the other man grows even more amused. “Let me go, Alhaitham."

Dori had been insistent that his reaction on stream should be of genuine surprise, and that she doesn’t want him to chicken out. Her words, not his.
He takes out the first item and…
Well, she had a point in keeping this a secret.
In which Kaveh received a package from Dori to try on whilst streaming and debt is a hell of a motivator.

Summary
"Kaveh," Alhaitham rasps, pressing kisses to the back of Kaveh's ear. "My mirror," he says as he continues to set Kaveh on fire with his touch. "My dawn," he says as tenderly as a bruise.
"Hayi," Kaveh says, as if he's answering Alhaitham's desire with his own, because isn't this the essence of their entire dynamic? One calls and the other answers, one stays and the other leaves, but they meet again and again and again, reflecting each other's longing because they have grown so familiar with its shape.
The world keeps turning, but he is safe here, because this is a place where love, in all its forms, can exist.

“Then why do I have to stay?”
Alhaitham stares at him as if the answer is obvious. “Because I want my husband near.”
The world stops. “Huh? What?” Kaveh stammers.

“Kaveh,” he whispers, shaking him lightly by the shoulder. “Get up. I need to get ready for work.”
Kaveh stirs slightly, blinking open tired red eyes. He tilts his head up to stare at Alhaitham, a small mrrp sound resonating in his throat.
Alhaitham dips down to press a kiss to his forehead, responding with a soft purr. “I have to go,” he murmurs, hoping Kaveh is awake enough for the words to make sense to him.
“Don’t go,” Kaveh whispers back.

“It’s not a sex thing,” Alhaitham interrupts.
“Hmph. We could make it a sex thing,” Kaveh says. “Wise senior Kaveh helps out his poor underclassman with homework. How ever will he pay me for my services?”
“Yes, Kaveh. I too find ancient runes to be an adequate aphrodisiac, but we haven’t the time.”
One unremarkable afternoon, Alhaitham and Kaveh translate some runes.

Summary
His knees were slightly painful after kneeling on the floor for so long — regardless, he sat in Dan Heng’s lap, body pushing forwards as Dan Heng’s back connected to the bookshelves. It must have been painful, but Dan Heng did not make a noise of protest. Instead, Dan Heng pulled him in, a hand winding its way up the back of his head, carding through his hair, pulling him closer.
For two very stoic individuals, their actions burned with a passion infrequently seen. Caelus kissed the same way he fought — fiery, dominant, fierce. Dan Heng matched him easily — equal parts passion, swiftness, and precision, the same way he wielded Cloud-Piercer.
And that was how Dan Heng held him — roughly, but with a certain gentleness in his fingertips, as if he might break, as if he might shatter. Caelus wanted to tell him that he wouldn’t — he had been fatally injured by a Doomsday beast, he had been stabbed by Cocolia through the ribs, and yet, here he was, still alive, still breathing.
Where Caelus latches onto an anchor to stop drifting amongst the embers of his muddy past.

And at that, Tighnari leans in even closer, his smirk widening as he hears Cyno audibly swallow, his warm breath tickling his neck.
"But what if I want to be judged by you, General?" Tighnari whispers, his voice dripping with desire. "What if I want you to punish me for breaking the rules? For being bad?"
“Don't test me, Tighnari.” Cyno's voice is noticeably strained, but his tone edged with a warning.
Tighnari finds himself addicted to the General Mahamatra's special type of punishment.

Summary
After the first day of the Interdarshan Championship, Kaveh asks Alhaitham to praise him during sex—because although the two of them disdain each other, they somehow keep ending up in bed together.
“Strong,” Alhaitham murmurs, kissing from Kaveh’s thigh to his hip. “Resolute.”
Stop, Kaveh wants to say. You’re wrong, you’re lying, you’re cruel.
But he asked for this. He asked Alhaitham to take him to bed and praise him, to make him feel like he’s not a complete failure.
Alhaitham knows that Kaveh is none of the words leaving his mouth. Kaveh is neither strong nor resolute, and he is certainly not enough.
But Alhaitham is a linguist. And that means he’s good with words, Kaveh supposes—even when he doesn’t mean them.
