Megumi stands, meeting Toji’s eyes unflinchingly with his own flat stare, but the way his fingers play with one of his sleeve-cuffs takes away from the whole rebel act. From the waist up, he’s dressed properly—according to the school—but instead of those hideous khaki pants that really drive home the rich-prick look, Megumi is wearing a skirt. It’s presumably part of the girl’s uniform, pleated navy with two white stripes along the bottom, but it’s short—the kind of mid-thigh short that Toji expects to see on drunk girls stumbling down the street, not middle-schoolers.
