The punch never came. Goromi just looked at him, eye half-lidded, lips parted, her breath coming out in tiny puffs of icy December air.
“Didn't know ya had it in ya, Kiryu-chan," she said after a moment of silence, her voice slipping into Majima’s lower tones.
“Erm.” Kiryu tried to respond and failed, his brain overloaded from trying to process what he had just done and with whom. "I... what are you... I mean...”
“Hey,” she stopped his meagre attempts at coherent speech, placing a pink-nailed fingertip to his mouth. “That after-hours date I asked ya about. Sure ya don’t wanna come?”
