Summary
A lone hellebore flower sat swaying in the wind, watching the world around it. It observed as other flowers grew and changed, maybe even bloomed. Through rain and shine and storm, even when the sky lit up with lighting and the trees around it died, it remained.
One day, a red cardinal found it. The hellebore offered its tree, and the cardinal stayed. Again, throughout the years they lived side by side. The cardinal wandered sometime, meandering off into the distance, yet always returning to where the hellebore was rooted.
Neither of them remembered the reason they were there, that the great forest fire had spread their seeds or destroyed their homes.And neither of them noticed that the great fire had returned, for there was no smoke in the distance when it came.
--> IN WHICH: The Balladeer's choice to erase himself accidently sets off a second timeline. Watch as two idiots (one being you) fall in love twice! The first time as two dangerous enemies in the Fatui, voluntarily working together most of the time, yet bickering and teasing each other constantly when doing so. The second time as an unlikely meeting between The Wanderer and a nameless informant hiding from the law.

[Partially Inspired by the anime “To Your Eternity” on Crunchyroll, but only the concept of a shapeshifter adapting to society, not of the main plot line or the method either MC used to gain more forms. It’s a really good anime though, so go check it out if you can. Thank you!]
Ley Line Surges. Before these last few months, he’d read about them before- but never truly considered them. Due to adventurer activity, there was never enough energy for one to occur, and blockages were moderated and taken care of.
So how exactly did he end up in this situation? Supplies dwindling, in the sheer cold, and constantly being attacked by high level monsters. He was at his limit.
