Depression was a waste of time, an emotional cesspit of nonsense as the Doctor would say, so Stone had no interest in that one. And acceptance? His Doctor would want him to remember his legacy, and take revenge on his enemies. That was the Doctor Stone knew anyways.

Stone fights the gang to distract them from a Badnik mission, only for Shadow to set him off, and then he goes and cries to the Badniks at home once then mission is done.

Summary
After the explosion, Dr Robotnik learnt three things in quick succession:
1. A sufficiently large detonation combined with a sufficiently large amount of Chaos Energy creates a wormhole through which one can travel (or be sucked at the last second) to a parallel universe relatively safely.
2. Earth seemed to stay pretty consistent across most universes.
3. It appeared that, after a life of self-imposed seclusion in the manner of a gizmo-ridden, super-genius, hermetic monk, when it came down to brass tacks, Dr Robotnik was hard-pushed to tell the difference between most Earths.Dr Robotnik jumps through universes to try and get back home, confronting his feelings for Agent Stone along the way.

A dagger slammed into the panneling mere inches from Lucius’ left ear, and he drew a shaky breath. “Oooo-kay, so you’re, like, really upset about how he’s coping with his breakup, and I get that, I do, but would it really make you feel better to kill me?”
The measured calculation in Jim’s eyes made Lucius regret phrasing it that way.
“What I’m saying is, wouldn’t you rather save all the murder-y stuff for Blackbeard, hm?”

or, Lucius decides to haunt Blackbeard to the point of insanity as revenge, because why kill a guy when you can terrorise his every waking moment?

During a raid on a smuggler ship, Ed finds a merman named Stede locked in the hold. Inspired by art by feriowind.
Inside is a tub that looks like it was cobbled together from wooden boards. And inside the tub is a merman.
He sits on the bottom of the tub, his back slumped against its wooden side. His tail is curled beneath the water’s surface, nearly tucked into a perfect circle in the cramped space. He looks pale and haggard, and there’s a shackle around his neck attached to a heavy chain in the wall.
He’s the most magnificent and most pathetic thing Ed’s ever seen.
