Summary
Written (as always!) in response to a prompt on the Dragon Age Kinkmeme. On one of his earlier escape attempts from the Circle, Anders makes it as far as Tevinter, but it's not the liberation he'd hoped for. Many years later, as part of Danarius's retinue, he meets up with the gang in Kirkwall during Act 3--but as a very different man. Hawke often enjoyed exploration after a skirmish, to cool his blood by picking through a vanquished foe’s meaningless effects. There were times when Fenris permitted it as a personal indulgence, and times when, for whatever reason, he did not.

Summary
When Solas found himself in the center of a cataclysm that threatened to undo the world, the only correct thing to do was to help fix the mess that had been put in motion. When his attempts to seal the rifts failed, a lone survivor from the explosion caught his attention. It seemed a Dalish elf held the key to their salvation.
Solas's perspective on the series of events that lead to the formation of the Inquisition. Story happens pre-game and during the prologue. Expect heavy spoilers due to all we know about Solas by the end of the game and a fair bit of headcanon, but I tried to be mostly canon-compliant.
