Unfortunately, treating the virus was the easy part, as Kasper now has to put himself back together after losing two years of his life to a parasitic infection that may never be truly gone, and Lampert is forced to accept that while Kasper may be back in his life, he's far from the person that he was when he lost him.

He fishes an Alert Capsule out of his endlessly deep pockets, inspecting it between two fingers before deciding it’s sufficient. It’s a small oblong object, not dissimilar to an ammonia inhalant. He crushes the middle of the capsule with his thumb and forefinger, color flooding the previously white surface, quickly maneuvering his hand between the pointed beaks of Crow’s helmet and placing it under his nose.
Crow jerks back as if he’d been shot, flinching away from the offending ethanol-alcoholic scent, but has no other reaction.
Okaaay…
That… usually works.
The return to the Laboratory on January 9th in search of rescuing Sumire goes a bit awry after an encounter with a Fafnir guarding the auditorium forces Akira and Goro to utilize their team attack.
The team attack in which Goro casts his special mental-shutdown-inducing spell on himself.
Akira's not sure what he expected with that one, in all honesty.
