(Okay, I haven't managed to get around to this and I'm in the run up to my Leaving Cert now so I'm putting this fic on official hiatus until after my exams are over. I kept feeling guilty about writing other things while I still hadn't updated this, especially since I've moved fandoms a little since then, which isn't great bc I need to practice writing short stories for my English exam. So yeah, that's all for this until July)

Summary
Nearly a year after the barrier came down, monsters are enjoying life up on the surface. No more resets. With this newfound freedom, Sans is content to sit back and relax- for real, this time- for the first time in years. With their journey over, Frisk has the chance to grow up and live a normal (or as normal as living with monsters can get) life. But turns out, when the monsters were freed, the story wasn't quite over.
When Sans goes missing at a camping trip and there is news of a dangerous beast roaming the woods, everyone is put on guard. But as monsters start disappearing, and the human government is creating problems, Frisk and their friends are forced to dig into Sans' past to find a way to stop all of this.
As it turns out, the laid-back skeleton is hiding more than they could've ever imagined. And to save him, they have to uncover the scars of his past.

It wasn't on purpose. Not the first time anyways. It just slipped out, and Dream just went with it rather than tell the child that he lied to them. Who didn't want to be literally anyone else anyways? Besides, Blue said he needed a break, and this is how he's getting one.
OR
Dream accidently invents a new persona. Normally, this would not be an issue. However, due to various causes for mental instability, such as stress, trauma, and a complete and total lack of healthy boundaries, this ended up as some sort of coping method.

It was hard to decipher who or what could have done this, or even what ‘this’ was. After all, the mass assortment of AU’s that had caught their attention clearly wasn’t the doing of either Ink or Error, or any other outcode for that matter.
‘So who was responsible for this?’ They pondered, grey fingers brushing idley over the intricate designs that encrusted the cover of the book.
