Skwisgaar always hated the cold. But it wasn't like he wasn't used to it - he had grown up swaddled in the biting cold winds, reminders that his mother had forgotten to buy food, to purchase new coats, socks, boots for her growing boy. He was an afterthought, to be left outside like the rest of her worries.
He said it was because he was always stuck outside and exposed to it - which wasn't a total lie - but in reality it was because it was a reminder that he was unwanted by the one person he ever wanted to be noticed by when he was young. He wasn't meant for love, he wasn't deserving of it.
He was unworthy of it.

Summary
A decade ago, Trent ran away from home, only to become entangled with a seemingly trustworthy man. How humiliating it is, wanting a prince, a hero, a godsdamned monster hunter to put him in his place, when he’s finally supposed to be free. What, exactly, does it say about him that he’d barely been free of Cazador for a week when he’d started imagining the Blade of Frontiers as his new master? Why is this where his thoughts always go, when he’s lying in his tent waiting for the others to fall asleep before he sneaks off to hunt? (Why is it that sometimes, in the afterglow of the fantasies of Wyll shoving him to his knees and brutally taking his pleasure, he imagines soft, chaste kisses and a hand gently taking his?)
Astarion's plagued by embarrassing fantasies about the Blade of Frontiers putting him in his place. He only gets more embarrased when his tadpole gives Wyll a glimpse of said fantasies.

Well, in all likelihood, there were quite a few problems with Astarion.
He was abrasive and flippant and self-serving, and Gale was in no doubt that his quick fingers were skimming at least a little out of whatever chests Tav had him picking.
Oh, and there was the fact that he was a vampire. Yes, there was that little detail.
Or, Astarion getting outed by the shadow-cursed lands.

Summary
Astarion is sleeping when it happens. His head is lying on the filthy stone floor of the kennels, not even a blanket or a pillow to protect him from the chill.
Abruptly, his rest is interrupted when he feels something inside of him, something that has been a part of him for his entire unlife, suddenly snap.
Or: Wyll and Astarion navigate a world where the tadpoles don't exist, find their freedom, and maybe something more.

Summary
A version of history where Durge used to attend Cazador's parties.
The spawn met his gaze with blazing eyes. Furious. Dar had expected a broken shred of a person. The snivelling humans offering up blood were pathetic and he was expecting something worse from the spawn. This wasn’t a shredded broken thing. There was hate in those eyes. Trapped and controlled but not truly broken. Dar held his gaze. The spawn’s lip curled, showing fangs but then he got that under control. Cazador was watching. The spawn hated Dar but he was too afraid of Cazador to risk anything more than that flickering hate in his eyes.
