He’d taken so much from them already, even behind bars, and she knew full well that he wouldn’t stop trying to take more, until they were all dead and buried. Having him gone would be a weight lifted from everybody, although perhaps no-one more than her, but as much as Vargas was overdue a date with death, it was too merciful an end for him -- too quick.
