Sorry I've been mostly silent for before the chapter AN. I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for the hits on the story, the kudos, the comments and all the support. This chapter took a lot of editing, which is why it took so long to get up. It started out really weird, because its a bridge between what happened in 3 and what's going to be happening in 5 (originally it was supposed to happen here, but I thought it was too soon). I'm mostly happy with how it ended up, and hoping that things don't seem too wonky and ended up more explained than they were in the original draft.

He is done having his friends and his father look at him in fear before remembering he is just Stiles, not a chaos demon. He is done being lonely, frightened, constantly on the lookout for evidence that he wasn't himself anymore. He steals a gun and drugs and as he is in the process of taking his life, he is stopped and a new life is given to him. The least likely person he would ever think would help someone saves him and gives him a reason to live.

"I met this…guy?" he began. A smirk almost tugged the corners of Gojo's lips, but a nudge by Geto was enough to erase the smug expression, "I was patrolling, as usual. And some…guy…crashed into me while I was in midair and—"
"Woah there, pause." Gojo cut him off, clearly more awake now. "Did I hear that right? What do you mean crashed into you while you were in midair?"
"I said what I said. Some guy crashed into me, and that's why I'm asking if the experiment lost two specimens or more."
Gojo rubbed his temples, eyebrows furrowing. "I don't think so. I retrieved as many documents as I could from the lab, but none of them mentioned a second spider or anything similar."

Spider was born in a thunderstorm that nearly killed his mother. She never spoke of his origins, or her own, but they lived their lives happily amongst the forest. For a time at least. As groups of hunters come closer and closer to finding their home, Spider can't help but question why she kept them both away from others.
