Their own input or preferences don't matter; Silbern is a place where you can only rely on your own strength or on his Majesty's favor, and they only have the latter right now, for reasons they don't even understand.
But well, if they insist on giving the two teens the means to break free, Ichigo and Uryuu are not about to say no.

When you’ve had too much for too long you don’t travel to go somewhere, you travel to leave something behind. You go away to see something new, to get a break, and to be alone. Sometimes it’s a choice you make, sometimes it’s a choice made for you, and maybe in the end it doesn’t matter.
Hermione Granger has done three months of her one year on a dairy farm the first time she comes across the worker from the farm next door. He runs on light feet across the mountainside, silver hair surprisingly upright in the wind, and she decides to go and introduce herself. Sometimes it’s the people you meet while looking for isolation that makes all the difference.
Or: Kakashi and Hermione both has issues, and really needs a hug and someone to talk to. Only things aren't always that easy, are they?

7/7 chapters, amazing work! The writing is spectacular and I devoured this in one go ~ rest in piece the lecture I was trying to listen to! I can only hope that maybe there will be a sequel with baby Sarada ~ or something along the lines of Sasuke realizing the he is a father of a tiny human. Or imagine Sasuke planning his and Sakura's baby shower and he just, "I got this everyone, just planned a wedding and all, definitely won't have a crash out or dumpster fire."

That question seemed to take Wilbur out at the knees. “They should have,” he said fiercely.
“They should have,” Technoblade agreed. “But a lot of people have let Tommy down.” He squeezed the nape of Wilbur’s neck and the kid leaned into it, his head falling towards Technoblade’s shoulder. “They’ve let you down too.”
Wilbur was quiet.
“Tommy didn’t deserve it. I think we can both agree on that." Technoblade’s voice was soft above Wilbur’s head. "Can we agree on something else too?”
Wilbur hummed unsteadily.
“You didn’t deserve it either.”
