“Welcome to Rebels Without a Clause,” he mumbled, scowling at the ground and blushing furiously. For the first time, he was actually grateful for the ridiculous red circles painted on his cheeks underneath the dotted freckles. “Can I help you find the perfect santa-mental gift in the Saint Nick of time?”
He was met with silence. He imagined it was a stunned or disgusted one (who could blame the guy?) until he heard… sniffles?
Katsuki’s head whipped up.
The red-head’s eyes were welling up with tears.
He immediately felt himself tense up defensively. His eyes widened involuntarily with alarm. Was he mocking him? Was he insane? Was this… was this feelings? What did people do when other people cried?
Was he meant to pat him?
The tiny Bakugou running his brain’s central nervous system threw himself on the ground in distress as, all around him, the brain started malfunctioning.

Bakugou handed Kirishima a tiny cake fork and stared at him intensely, no more than a foot away from Kirishima’s face.
There was a pause.
“Eat my honey cake!” Bakugou practically screamed.
Kirishima blinked and jolted into action. There was no universe in which Kirishima Eijirou would need to be asked twice to eat Bakugou Katsuki’s honey cake.
Or: Five times Bakugou Katsuki tested his baking skills on an unsuspecting (and mildly pining) Kirishima Eijirou prior to the Great 1-A Bake Off competition.

Everything in that alleyway instantaneously faded. Harsh breathing, distant sirens and static white noise filtered to nothing as the world zeroed in on that one figure.
Everything was silent and everything was her.
He could have sworn he saw the muted eyes blink desperately at him as the open mouth dropped wider in a declaration of his guilt.
His own breath caught in his chest, though it had nothing to do with his lungs.
Alternatively: As much as Katsuki Bakugou insisted his opponent 'die' (fellow student, villain or otherwise), he never actually wanted to kill someone. He was a hero.
He was a hero.
Alternatively still: Bakugou accidentally kills a villain and has to deal with both the emotional and official fallout.

There was one of those automated clap-tracks on the television as another contestant got the question correct. Gallagher’s eyes were dark as the blue lights of the television screen threw weird shadows onto his face. Mickey wished, almost idly, that there was more lighting in the Milkovich household, if just so that Gallagher didn’t look so ominous. He picked up the remote and muted the TV.
A canon-divergent story from 1x09, in which Tony Markovich suspected foul play and coerced an unwilling Mickey Milkovich into revealing the truth about Kash Karib.
