Intern gets a new job at the Animal Hospital for night shifts. Everything seems wonderful: a new job, nice co-workers, and an intimidating boss, but he seems nice. Maybe they are a bit sleep deprived cause they keep seeing things. Oh, and maybe weird things keep happening, but they can shrug it off. Everything is totally normal.
What's the worst that can happen? A serial killer, experiments, secret cannibalism, monsters or ghosts? They just need to chug more coffee and maybe buy an espresso machine. And maybe they can keep ignoring all the massive red flags.

Summary
Kris was done. They weren't going to tolerate the interdimensional invader in their ribcage any longer. And if they had to open a fountain to get rid of it, they were going to.
Or at least, they were. Until that invader offered something new: the chance to remember between resets. To make their own decisions with nothing more than some minor advice and a helping hand if requested. Naturally, Kris was interested. And that's why they woke up on Thursday morning, remembering two days that technically hadn't happened yet.
Messing with the code can be delicate work. Do the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the bridge might just break. Or change fundamentally.
It's a good thing nothing like that could happen, right?
