Summary
Dean felt his heart drop a little when Fergus stepped in behind Castiel, standing perhaps too close to Castiel than Dean would like. Dean bit back any words that might have tried to escape and did his best to keep his face flat. He couldn’t let anyone, especially Fergus, know that he his invite hadn’t extended to him. If he let that show, Fergus might get suspicious. Dean stopped that train of thought. He didn’t know why he should be so wary of Fergus. For all he knew, Fergus had been asking about homework or even about Fantasy Realm. It could be a coincidence that Castiel looked tired and worn that day.

Sam dragged his brother into his nerdy gaming club, and though Dean is excited he won't show it. As the club meetings continue, their characters encounter perilous adventures and dangerous tasks. Meanwhile, in the real world the members of the club grow closer and face the dramas of high school together, as well as the ups and downs of crushes and falling in love.

Especially this kid, Castiel, Dean finds particularly interesting for some reason. It could be because he’s the first gay guy Dean’s ever known, or because he has a quirky fondness for bees. It pretty much had to be something like that because what the hell else would it be that keeps dragging Dean’s eyes to him?

Summary
Dean Winchester has devoted his career as a police officer to helping angel slaves in any way that he can. He even formed and heads the "Angel Welfare Task Force," which involved him being called to consult on any case involving slaves. This passion stemmed from an incident that happened twenty years previously, when a thirteen year old Dean failed to help his friend Castiel escape being sold to a sadistic owner.
Dean had never really harbored any hope of finding his friend. He saw his work as something he did in memory of Castiel, to prevent others from suffering the same fate. But, when called out on a routine case one day, Dean was startled to find that he recognized the victim.

While Castiel is patient and encouraging the presence of the beautiful athletic man not only makes him more aware of his own flaws, but begins to eat away at his minimal sleeping hours. However, it is only through Castiel's positive words that Dean can begin to learn that his largest critic is himself and Castiel could careless about Dean's soft middle.

Summary
When Dean was a teenager, he fucked up. He got into a fight, got put into a hospital, and had to have John come pick him up. Then on the way home, a semi truck hit their car, killing John and paralyzing Dean. Since then, Dean's been pretty much dying--well, wanting to die, at least--in his shitty wheelchair, in his shitty apartment, in this shitty city he almost died in.
And then Sam drags him to student teacher conferences. And Dean meets Cas.
Cas is this weird substitute teacher who always, without fail, wears a suit, a backward tie, and a trench coat. He's got strange habits and mannerisms and a stranger family, but somehow he's the only one who can pull Dean out of the hole he's buried himself in.
He just hopes it isn't too late.
