This is an accompanying fic to "Yours Truly". That main fic being epistolary doesn't allow me to incorporate some scenes well enough, so I'll collect them here. The short vignettes will show the scenes with characters and events mentioned in "Yours Truly", and will more or less correspond with the letters.
This fic can be enjoyed on its own, but will definitely work better if you read "Yours Truly" as well.

He remembered the attack on Kaer Morhen: the Salamandra bandits wreaking havoc to the ancient stronghold, stealing the Witchers' secret formulas, killing one of them. Everything before that was a fog, or rather a wall he seemed unable to breach. With his memories gone, too much of himself was missing. There was only one thing he was sure of, only one thing he knew how to do.

Summary
A few years before the mage rebellion the Chantry issued a new mandate. Any apostate captured by the Templars would be subjected to one of three sentences: Death, Tranquility, or Claiming. If Claimed, a mage is forever tied to the Templar, forced to his will and whims, becoming little more than chattel. This is the tale of Cullen Rutherford and the mage which circumstance forced him to Claim.
