Summary
Katsuki and Ochako have a weird friendship. They aren’t dating and they aren’t exactly friends with benefits. What they have works for them, and they aren’t afraid to show it.
“Katsukiiii..”
He has just enough time to remove the beer bottle from between his legs before Ochako falls sideways onto his lap without a care in the world. He sets the bottle on the table, right beside his previously folded poker hand and grips her hip with one large palm to steady her.
Ochako's eyes are wide and glassy as she beams at him, but he can tell by just the way she whines his name that in the hour since he's last laid eyes on her, she's blown past her healthy buzz and is headed straight into hangover and regret territory if she doesn't slow down.
“I haven't seen you all night," she groans.

They haven’t been back to the Falls since the summer they turned thirteen -- since Stan and Ford took off on the world adventure fifty years in the making, since Dipper and Mabel packed up their belongings and promised they’d be back soon. See you next summer stretches into six long years, post cards, the occasional phone call. A broken promise only mended by Dr. Pines’ sabbatical.
Their parents offer to take them along, of course -- complete the last month of high school over correspondence, in a villa on the Amalfi coast. Mabel and Dipper both opt to stay home with Grandpap Shermie, who takes out-of-focus photos of their graduation before setting off on his own adventure, fixing up the old apartment in Glass Shard Beach with his new girlfriend.
When Stan and Ford phone to congratulate them, the call comes from the Shack’s number. The invitation is extended and accepted without thought. One last summer, just like old times.

Marinette never really wanted to be a superhero, for the record, but the choice wasn’t hers. And when she sees a car headed for Alya the day Stoneheart appears, that’s not a choice either—that’s a death sentence for a girl with no powers, just a phone and too much curiosity for her own good.
Marinette becomes Ladybug, and she moves.
In hindsight, Marinette supposes the car crushes her skull, her lungs—something like that. She thinks she remembers hitting the ground, but that could be wishful thinking, the desire for a sense of certainty that will always be out of reach. It doesn’t really matter, as much as she’d like to think so.
The bottom line is that on her first day on the job, Ladybug dies. And then she gets back up.

So please suspend disbelief for me and the knowledge that I'm sure hospitals in Japan don't function the same way they do in America :)
