It's weird to look at Stelle. She's a bit strange in personality, sure, but otherwise she is a suitable image for a 'hero'. Yet when Mydei looks at her, it feels as if he is looking at something that does not belong- a spot of gold in a sea of blue, a smear of orange against a black background. It's jarring to look at. It hurts his eyes.

It isn't exactly a purposeful decision; he'd simply wandered around, tagged along with a merchant group or band of refugees here and there, but eventually, he'd ended up more or less settling in the City of Strife.
It's not exactly a terrible life, living like this, Phainon think absentmindedly, as he runs a whetstone along his blade. It's just a bit dull- meaningless- in its own way. Perhaps once his training is completed, he'll set back on the road again.

So the thing about Professor Anaxa is that he really doesn't like treating his students like babies. The problem with that, though, is the fact that Professor Anaxa also tends to assume that his students are actually functional outside of the classroom.
It's one thing to assume that about Hyacine; she's actually responsible. Now Phainon, on the other hand, doesn't trust himself to so much as remember to water his pottend plants on a good day. Mysterious potion bottles and his half-asleep ass at seven in the morning?
Hm. Yeah. So. He might have a teensy problem now; that problem being the fact that he now has a tail, horns, and a distinct lack of human vocal chords and opposable thumbs.
