After a mission goes awry, the League find themselves trapped in another dimension filled with giant reptiles, carnivorous birds, and in general things that want them dead. With no supplies and their own escape route cut off, it's a race against time to find their way home...

“karlach?” she breathes, reaching for it and all but snatching it from isobel’s hand as the servant of selûne chuckles at her eagerness.
“not quite. the undead within your camp…withers, was it? he sent an invitation for you to the temple.”

aka it’s been six months since shadowheart has heard anything from her favorite tiefling in regards to her journey in finding a cure in avernus, but perhaps an invitation to a party from withers can finally save her heartache.

Summary
The gun still aimed at him is something he’s only peripherally aware of, significant only because his movement towards Ellie means it’s aimed at her, too. He can hear Henry's plaintive note of disbelief even as the words are lost in the dull roar of his own pulse. A glance back from the corner of his eye shows that the weapon is no longer pointed at him, which means he has no further interest in tracking it at all.
It’s instinct, something beyond rational and conscious thought, to drop beside the girl, brought to his knees by residual terror and giddy relief both. He sees her begin to turn her head back to the gore of what was once another child, and it’s without thought that he pulls her against his chest, one hand moving to press her head to his shoulder. Of all of the fucked-up horrors of this fucked-up world, this is one thing he can spare her from, if only this much.
(Ellie deserved a hug after that episode)

It's light, and teasing, but Fabian's hands are around Riz's body and Riz's hands are around Fabian's, and if Fabian can feel how fast Riz's heart is beating, can see the things he's not saying in the lines of his back, then surely Riz is able to do the same with him.
In the semi-light of the late night, so late it turns into early morning, Fabian isn't as afraid of it as he usually is.
Or, Riz dies for the second time and Fabian puts some things into perspective.

So, I am going to reread this for the first time in two years and attempt to iron out some of the rough spots I know are there. “Oh my god, Keeeith,” Lance wheezed. “Keith you’re the best drunk space cadet I’ve ever seen.”
“Space cadet,” Keith mumbled. He repeated the words again although his eyes had zeroed in on Lance’s hands and Lance offered no resistance when Keith picked one of them up and pulled it possessively towards his lap. He began to gently trace over Lance’s fingers, sending shivers up Lance’s arm and down his spine. “You have looong fingers,” Keith murmured after a few moments.
Keith’s face perked up then, as if he’d just had a brilliant idea, and Lance could almost not wait to hear what new obscure thought had entered Keith’s pretty head. He was prepared to laugh, and instead found himself shivering again as Keith leaned far into his personal bubble, lips practically touching Lance’s ear when he spoke next.
“I bet you could reach all kinds of things, Lance.”

When Keith found himself mentally linked to Lance of all people, he never thought that it would end in anything but irritation and misery on both sides. He certainly never imagined that it would be a useful asset in team Voltron's fight against the Galra Empire. Now if he can just keep his feelings in check, they might actually have a chance at defeating Zarkon.
Needless to say, when he'd wished for a “bonding moment” with Lance, this wasn't exactly what he'd had in mind.

With Shiro gone, everyone is hurting, but no one more so than Keith. Of course Lance had noticed. Everybody had. But that didn't mean Lance had expected Keith to turn up one night outside his room, wanting to talk. Why him? What could Keith possibly want from him? Much more than Lance ever realised apparently.

After a terrifying experience during which Lance, seemingly, dies, Keith is haunted by horrible nightmares of holding his comrade in his arms while he took his final breath. To the point where he can't sleep unless he knows for absolute certain that Lance is alive.
And while the attention is surprising, Lance doesn't really have a problem with Keith checking up on him. Or the fact that Keith only seems totally comforted when he can cuddle Lance close and hear his heart beat. After all, there's nothing wrong with two bros cuddling. It doesn't MEAN anything. Or, at least, that's what Lance keeps telling himself.
