The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.

(Bagginshield, Gimli/Legolas) In which recovery takes time, the dead members of the Company take to watching Gimli as though he’s a soap opera, the living struggle with being left behind, Legolas is confused, Khuzdul is abused, and Thorin is four feet and ten inches of guilt and anger.

I read this after reading “The Hobbit” six months ago and the first part of “The Fellowship of the Ring” very recently (as well as general plot knowledge from cultural osmosis), and I think that was the perfect time to read this fic.
In other words, I spent four consecutive days reading this fic, I don’t understand how the writer wrote this much and I’m very glad it was finished when I read it. All these headcanons are canon to me now.

The only way to keep his feet on the ground is to – for some reason – touch his best friend, Prince Keith of the Marmora Kingdom. Who he happens to be very much in love with.
And the cure might have to force Lance to let him go.
Or, Prince Lance has to make a choice between saving himself, or losing his childhood best friend.

Lance was officially weirded out. By Keith. Keith was acting very weird.
But it was a subtle sort of weird that no one else seemed to have noticed, the type of weird that would make the others think that he was weird for noticing it in the first place.
Keith didn’t rise to any of his jabs. Keith didn’t poke fun at him. Keith followed Shiro’s orders to the letter and didn’t pull any dangerous stunts. Keith barely even talked.
Lance was going to get to the bottom of it.

Time traveling once is a second chance. Time travelling twice is a punishment. Time travelling for eternity just gets a little boring.
Or, an increasing number of Dream SMP members find themselves stuck in a time loop. Humor and shenanigans ensue.
