Summary
Rocket didn't think that Peter leaving the Guardians would affect him as much as it did, yet his mental health had never been worse without his best friend. Life's been bleak and nothing was helping him feel better. Things got worse when his home was destroyed and a mysterious man showed up from God knows where. Little did he know this man would change the course of his life forever.

Quality of Life- (Noun) the standard of health, comfort, and happiness experienced by an individual or group.
It's been about a year since the events of Echo and Kudzu and Chase are thriving. Together, they have managed to work through copious amounts of emotional, psychological, and physical trauma. However, that isn't to say that they're done and better. On the contrary, both of them (Chase to a greater extent) still have issues when it comes to anxiety and other various mental health afflictions. But, through thick and thin, for better and for worse, they stick together to improve each other's quality of life.

Introduction: This story should fully line up with the cannon. No details were changed from the initial source.
This story follows Kudzu and Chase as they work to support each other through the difficulties of being in a relationship as well as struggling through severe PTSD. The bulk of this story takes place during and directly after the events of Echo (more specifically, Leo’s route’s good ending).
NOTE from after entire fic was published: If you're coming here from Quality of Life (or if you're reading this for the first time), I've gotten comments about how the first few chapters seemed to meander and be somewhat boring to read (which I have to agree with. I wish I wrote them differently). If you would like to skip the Echo portion, which is just the events of the game from Kudzu's perspective, I suggest you skip all the way to chapter 9, where they escape. I certainly won't blame you haha. Hell, I was bored when I reread it. By all means, if you would like to read from the beginning, you're welcome to. BUT, don't say I didn't warn you when I said it's somewhat boring. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy.

Summary
Bucky Barnes has been running with the Guardians of the Galaxy for a while - and dating Rocket Raccoon for nearly as long - when a mission comes up that puts their budding relationship to the test.
The Guardians have one chance to recapture a stolen superweapon. To pull it off, Rocket needs to go undercover as a notorious arms dealer, and finagle the weapon out from under the thieves. Trouble is, he can't do it alone: the arms dealer he's impersonating always travels with a companion. A companion with whom he has a very particular relationship.
After everything Bucky's been through, will he be able to let anyone - even the person he trusts the most - keep him on a leash?
And what does it mean if he finds himself starting to like it?
