Summary
Charles Bingley takes residence of Netherfield Park for one reason: to give his friend Darcy a peaceful sanctuary after a brutal year. After Wickham’s scheme was revealed, Georgiana’s attempted suicide left her crippled and catatonic. Darcy, blaming himself, fell into self-destructive despair that even his closest friend could not break through. It is only when Darcy is alone in the countryside near Meryton that he finds a reason to hope: a beautiful young woman, walking alone, who he deliriously thinks is an angel. This tale follows the train of consequences of two of Ms. Austen's more unlikeable characters finding a kindred spirit in each other. Many larger changes for our beloved favorites come from this one meeting.

Summary
The story starts when Elizabeth and Maria are staying at the Parsonage at Hunsford. It diverges from canon when Elizabeth receives a package from her father - a copy of the new novel Sense and Sensibility. They start reading it together and this leads to insights into characters and events which had previously been misunderstood. This prevents Darcy making a disastrous proposal in Kent. The pathway is slightly different but they will get their happy ending.
Be aware that there are major plot spoilers for Sense and Sensibility if you have not already read this!
