It seemed he had woken up, whether that was by her or by something else. “I thought I heard some distant noise. Turns out I was right.”
“Oh,” Stelle said flatly, not thinking she’d been loud enough for him to hear. Apparently, she had. “Hi, Mr. Yang.”"OR
Stelle couldn't sleep and went for a walk in the Express, unexpectedly coming across Welt in the Parlor Car. They end up talking over hot soup about what happened in Amphoreus at three AM.

Following that incident, something had happened to Kiana. Of course, Bronya wasn't a stranger to eye color changes and strange glows, but it was probably something deeper than a simple aesthetic alteration.
For one, Bronya was relatively certain that the old Kiana didn't have the habit of shoving a miniature dragon into others' hands as if presenting a cat.
Whether that was an improvement was still under analysis.

The stranger introduced herself. She knelt on the floor, to stay eye-level with Aemeath, who was kicking her legs off the edge of the couch. “My name’s Rover,” she said with a smile. Aemeath stared at her. Her eyes were golden, like hers. But a little sad. Maybe all grownups looked sad, Aemeath thought.
“I’m Aemeath!” She pressed a thumb to her chest proudly.
“Hello, Aemeath. How did you get here?”
“Walked. I made it far,” said Aemeath proudly. “I came allllll the way from Bjartr Woods!”
Rover’s eyes widened in alarm, and for a moment Aemeath shrunk, suddenly afraid she was going to get scolded. Instead, Rover breathed a sigh of relief, patting her head again. “That is very far,” Rover said, nodding. “You’re very brave."

Summary
Stelle is a weapon, her existence tied to a fate she has no agency over. As a result of nihilistic pondering she developed a 'unique' sense of humour where she'd challenge that fate often, ending up in entirely ridiculous situations or equally life threatening ones. Fate wins out every time but the game is always close, this time it's closer than ever before. As she's set to recover, a concerned hunter tries to talk some sense into her while tending numerous wounds.
