TagsSummaryThe first kiss brushing against his lips is a strange sensation. Aziraphale sighs against his mouth and makes another happy sound. Crowley supposes it isn't too weird. Plenty of humans enjoy smushing their faces together when they're in love. And also when they're not. But he's heard it's better when there's love involved. Anyway Aziraphale certainly seems to be enjoying it so he's determined to like it too. They survive the apocalypse. They dine at the Ritz. They confess their love. Then Crowley realises Aziraphale expects their romance to have sex too, and he doesn't know how to turn him down. So he doesn't. If you've read anything by me before please be aware this fic is different from my usual stuff and mind the tags! ⚠️ Don't let the beginning of this story trick you, this is not a happy fic." And, true. This is not a happy fic. It is an important fic, though. My gratitude.

Oaths. They were supposed to be choices, weren’t they? That’s why they mattered, that’s what made them their own kind of magic? Because you Chose. But this had never felt like a choice. Bookmarked by Zeph198124 Oct 2023 Bookmarker's NotesIt’s a strange thing to look at him. Part of Izzy settles, because it’s Edward, and no matter how much he hates it, no matter how often he denies it, looking at Edward will always feel like coming home. But there’s something else as well. Like a breeze under the door. He’d seen it before, because of course he had, how could he not? But now, now there’s no escaping it. Looking at him is like seeing a vessel cracked between his fingers, bleeding bright and bitter and brutal, dipping over the floor in the muffled quiet of the room, and it fills up Izzy’s throat colder than deep water.

TagsSummaryStede finds the house. When he comes back to their room at the inn, he won’t rest—won’t let Ed rest—until Ed’s seen it. His eyes are bright in that way that makes Ed’s guts feel scooped out with a spoon. So Ed hurries into his boots and goes with him. The once-white paint is stripped by weather and wear, a portion of the roof is caved in, and the spokes of the wraparound porch are all gnawed through by animals. Ed gazes up at the broken windows and the birds that have built nests there. At his side, Stede is waiting, rocking back and forth on his heels. His voice cracks, glass glittering and shards slippery with blood and amber. His soul spills over with terror and agony and lust. “Alright! I think... I think about it all the time! I can taste you.” His eyes are brimming, tears hot and accusatory. His hand covers his mouth, as if that can hide his shame. “I can taste you in my mouth, under my tongue, at the back of my throat, every moment, every second. Lingering, like the darkness of chocolate, like the sweetness of poison. I’m sick with it!” His vocal chords are raw, his frantic words flaying his throat. “I’m sick with wanting you!”

Bookmarked by Zeph198129 Sep 2023 Bookmarker's Notes“I think maybe I was a bit... ingenuous when I first came down here,” Muriel said eventually. “But, well, now I know all these really horrible, sad things I didn’t know before, and I’ve felt lots of horrible, sad feelings as well, and that makes me not so ingenuous anymore, I think? And, the thing is, back when I was in Heaven, being happy was a really simple thing, because everything was simple, so the simplest things made me happy! Really, really happy!” Muriel took a deep breath and let it out, trying to slow the rush of words. “...And now, it’s different because there are so many more feelings, and they get jumbled together, and the knowledge of everything makes it all more complicated, actually? And when I’m happy, I think maybe I don’t look as happy as I did before because, well, it isn’t as simple as it was before… But I actually feel it more, you know, here?” Muriel pressed their hand to their chest. Aziraphale was staring at them, wide-eyed, but he said nothing, so Muriel felt it was probably alright to continue. “It’s a bit like Adam and Eve in a way, isn’t it? They might have been happier in Eden because everything was controlled and they didn’t know any better… But then they ate the apple - thanks to Crowley, or at least that’s what Saraqael said - and now look! There are books! And coffee shops! And fuzzy socks! And maybe people aren’t as purely, innocently happy, because life is more complicated - a lot more, actually - but I think they’re also probably much more interesting now than they were before they bit the apple? And would you trade their ingenuity away for the sake of returning them to bliss born of ignorance?”

The Mirror Crack'd From Side to Side by AtalanFandoms: Good Omens (TV), Good Omens - Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett25 Jun 2019 TagsSummaryAziraphale is sure this isn't right. He's sure he remembers wisps from a world that hasn't been made yet: a bookshop and a restaurant and a park and... someone else. But this is Heaven, before the Beginning. How can he possibly remember anything? How can he possibly feel like he's lost everything? One shot, sort-of-AU, mostly made of stars and feels. It's been a very long time since something burned its way out of me like this. Bookmarked by Zeph198122 Sep 2023 Bookmarker's Notes"Aziraphale nods, lost in his eyes, wanting more than he has ever wanted, than he could ever imagine he wanted, and yet he knows this wanting like he knows his own name, has learned to wear it like armour and hide it like shame."
