Summary
It had only taken Peter about thirty minutes (of time not screaming out in pain and terror as his body pulled itself apart into a brightly colored conglomerate of molecules, something he did not want to think about) for Peter to figure out a few very important things about his situation.
1. Peter Parker was currently in a universe incredibly different from his own.
2. Peter Parker should under no circumstances interact with anyone running around dressed as some sort of bat or bird.
3. Peter Parker was completely and utterly alone.--

Summary
Peter decided that he was tired of missing Jason, and so he closed the gap between them with so much force that Jason stumbled backwards and hit the fridge. One hand tangled into Peter’s hair while the other gripped against his waist as Peter wrapped his legs around Jason’s torso. Their lips met like waves crashing against rocks, each drop of water molding so naturally to the shape of the land. Peter’s arms encircled Jason’s neck, barely holding back from completely crushing him in an attempt to pull him closer closer closer.

“Dick Grayson.” The voice was barely more than a whisper, but it kept catching him off guard. He would be almost asleep, so close to letting himself relax just enough to collapse into any semblance of rest, and then he would hear it. After checking for any sort of device that could be stowed away in his apartment and half-way destroying each room looking for someone hiding, he gave up on trying to find the source.
After three days, he had turned off his phone. He thought that it would be better to just turn it off than smash it when the next person tried to call him.

Summary
Bruce woke up on the roof alone, beams of light piercing through his eyelids. A heat settled over him, the intensity of the light breaking through the cold air of the city skyline. A blanket that he didn’t remember having before is draped over his shoulders. It smells like laundry detergent and Clark Kent. There is a tinge of a floral smell, beyond the chemical detergent, and it doesn’t take the world’s best detective to know it is probably Lois’ perfume.
Bruce tears the blanket off of him, and throws it across the roof. A sticky note sits on his forehead. When he peels it off, the residue clings to his skin where it had sat for who knows how long.
Had to go to work - call me.

Or: Bruce and Clark date in the early hero days without knowing each other's identities. Time passes, their lives get complicated, and they break up. It is not long until they meet again as Batman and Superman, but Bruce can't shake the familiar pit in his stomach when he looks into Superman's eyes.

Peter, like any 14 year old superhero, really wants to catch a break. He's just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, nothing special. Well, only if you don't look at his biology ever since the radioactive spider bite. And his extensive track record of running away and deaths in his life. And that his foster-dad is Tony Stark. And that his mentors are the Avengers. And the fact that he was randomly kidnapped one morning on his way to school and now he's in an alternate universe with a bunch of different superheroes that keep stalking him.
He thinks they mean well, but they're really weird. Besides that Red Hood guy. He's pretty cool. Though something about them- especially Nightwing- is familiar...

When he wakes up and claws his way out of the water, the sun has set, and the lights of his house are on. He is cold and wet and his lungs burn.
But most of all, Tim is alone.

Summary
So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”
