And for the next several relationships, they all repeated that same script. Jisung would resist sexual advances for the first good portion of the relationship, and his boyfriends would be receptive of his boundaries, usually, giving him time to be comfortable. But eventually, after varying lengths of time, be it a couple months or a whole year, they would get inpatient, and try to get things to progress further. Jisung would try, no one could say he wasn’t trying, but he physically couldn’t stop the panic and the discomfort, and before things got too far, he’d always chicken out. Sometimes his boyfriends yelled at him, sometimes they sighed in disappointment, and sometimes they would just walk out, and never speak to him again. They all ended the same, though. Jisung always ended up single with a sneering comment or two from his newest ex on the list, echoing in his head, reminding him just how broken he was.

“He ran me over with his dog yesterday,” Changbin supplies, swirling his coffee with a quick flick of his wrist.
“Well, aren’t you lucky,” Felix says with a grin. “He’s cute.”
“I’m aware, thank you,” Changbin says. “I don’t need your help getting nervous, you know.”

The words leave Felix’s silly little mouth quicker than he can hold them back. Jeongin makes a tiny sound in the back of his throat, face scrunching up into his telltale mask of lighthearted fake-disgust.

A waitress passes by their table, Seungmin watching her go, as a query rings out from the rear table asking do they give out breadsticks here, you know, like olive garden. Semi-distracted by the weight of Hyunjin’s palm and his intense gaze, Seungmin peripherally absorbs the waitress’ befuddled and apologetic response that no sir, but I can get you a menu?
His attention is grappled back by a dead set Hyunjin.
“If we’re going to stay,” Hyunjin says, his pupils piercing directly into Seungmin’s soul with a sort of fierceness that he thinks most people dub hellfire, “I need you to not look back.”
POV: you're on a date with a beautiful art major named Hyunjin and his roommates just peeled out of the parking lot blasting Aju Nice.

Minho let out an outraged noise that was too loud in the muffled library. “I’ll have you know that I am on my best behavior,” he hissed.

And really, Hyunjin shouldn’t. Rule one of maintaining mental stability post-breakup is almost certainly ’do not hook up with your ex.’ But he’s a little bit drunk and a lot a bit lonely and he hates to admit that he misses Jeongin too.

Summary
“For fucks sake,” Felix almost manages to let his Princess Peach fall off the side of the track. Jeongin snorts. “Seungmin is not my boyfriend.”
“He’s not?” Hyunjin says lightly, voice loaded with amusement and his Toadette flies off the edge of the track. Jisung tuts and grabs the controller to take over.
“I’m not?” Seungmin says from his left, and Felix’s tire on screen barely stays on the track at the surprise he feels at hearing Seungmin speak up even though he’s been there the whole time. Felix swallows but keeps his voice steady.
“No,” Is what he says, because he can’t exactly say yes – he’d already been so adamant about it. His voice is firm, but slightly meek, realizing that maybe he shouldn’t have said that.
“Well,” Seungmin crosses the finish line at the end of the race in first place, sitting back and putting his controller to rest in his lap. “That’s disappointing.”
(Seungmin and Felix are dating. Felix is a little slow on the uptake.)

At Chris Bang's annual Halloween party, the Judy to Jeongin's Nick falls from the sky like Cupid's arrow striking straight through his heart. It's a message. It's fate. In the movie, the fox gets the bunny. In real life, Jeongin will try his hardest to get the same ending. After all, life imitates art— isn't that what Hyunjin always says?
