A loud gasp in front of them followed by a series of even louder gasps behind them painfully reminds him that they are, in fact, very much in public. He doesn’t need to look around to know that everyone nearby has stopped to watch.
There’s no way Phainon actually forgot the world existed around them. He did this on purpose to mess with him, didn’t he? Mydei knows he’s utterly shameless, but this takes the cake.

Almost a year since he had to face those thoughts and that reality, and the niggling sensation that he desperately wanted to leave well alone. It was wrong on so many levels. The things that he wanted. The dreams he was having. He wanted to deny it. Deny it all. Continued to deny it all.
