Summary
Leo was working on a project, a collapsing spear for Frank for those pesky situations when shape-shifting wasn't an option and the fight was too close range for a bow. They didn't happen often, but when they did, Frank made sure to bitch about it to everyone. Seeing as the big guy's birthday was coming up, Leo figured he could solve Frank and everyone who had to listen to him's problem, no sweat.
That's when he heard music start to play softly through the air. He still didn't know where the music came from, but one too many times of Jo smacking him on the nose with a rolled up newspaper when she stumbled upon him trying to dismantle her house had curbed his curiosity. Still, he knew what sudden music meant, and, right on cue, he felt a pair of thick arms wrap around his waist and a hooked nose being pressed into his curls. He chuckled softly and leaned back against the sturdy chest behind him. “Having fun sniffing me, you weirdo?”
“Mhm,” Jason hummed. He nuzzled even closer, and Leo could feel the smile against his scalp. “Always do.”

“Piper, I’m about ninety-four point six three percent sure I am going to get my shit wrecked tomorrow,” Leo announced, collapsing onto the bench across the table from her.
Piper glanced up from where she’d been painstakingly painting Reyna’s nails with a purple Sharpie, eyebrows arched and grin wide. “Kinky.”
“I do not mean in a fun, sexy way, I mean I have royally fucked myself completely over,” Leo groaned, hiding his face in his hands. “Like I am way way up shit creek and I sold my paddles to a pair of beavers for NFTs about ten miles back. Jason basically cornered me after gym and flat out told me when and where to get my ass kicked,” Leo reported. “He practically had me pinned to the lockers and told me under no uncertain terms that he wanted me to show up at Rossi’s tomorrow at 5:30.”
“I like Rossi’s,” Reyna said. “The pizza is good.”
Piper ignored her. “Dude, you are so fucked.”

Jason Grace is the new kid in town, and Leo is helplessly, hopelessly obsessed with him, despite the fact that the dude gives off every STAY BACK! signal in the book. This is fine, until it isn't, and suddenly Leo finds himself scheduling his execution.

Jason startled, and Piper whipped her head up. “What? What’s his deal?”
“You’re jealous!” Leo accused, pointing a finger with no small amount of vindication.
Flushed cheeks went pale before flaring back up. “I– What? No, that’s– What are you even–”
“Oh my god, you’re totally right, he is,” Piper giggled without malice, not that she ever needed malice to make someone squirm.
“I am not jealous,” Jason seethed, which was of course the behavior of an incredibly un-jealous person.
Leo shared a look of incredulous delight with Piper before he turned back to Jason. “You know, if you wanted in, you could have just told us; we would have included you.”
Piper frowned curiously. “Leo, I don’t think that’s what he–”
“That’s exactly what I meant!” Jason interrupted. “I’ve just… felt left out of your petty crime ring.”

He crept over to his husband’s side, careful to make as little noise as possible. Sure enough, Jason’s eyes were closed, his face completely slack, and his cheek was all smooshed up on one side. For a second, Leo almost couldn’t breathe around the sudden well of affection that burst to life in his chest. In his gentlest voice he called, “Hey, Superman?”
Immediately, Jason puckered his lips, but he remained firmly asleep, evident by the slight pout that formed when he didn’t receive his expected kiss. Leo bit his tongue hard to keep from giggling like a besotted school girl. When he regained his composure, he spoke again. “You fall asleep on me?”
Jason scrunch his nose a couple times like a confused rabbit, then mumbled, “Goin’ places.”
Leo’s chest once again felt tight, and he carefully sat himself on the edge of the desk so he could look down at Jason. “Yeah? Where you goin’?”
“Home.”
“Home? Aren’t you at home?”
Jason’s eyebrow twitched like it always did when he was confused before he sighed happily. “Yeah. ‘m at home.”

“I just wanted to apologize again for being late,” Jason said with that puppydog earnestness of his. “Normally I never do stuff like that. Today was just… a mess.”
“Don’t even worry about it,” Leo assured him for the third time. “Besides, I totally understand. I was super late, too. I barely beat you here.”
Jason cocked his head to the side. “Really?”
“Really really,” Leo confirmed with a casual shrug. “There was an incident picking the boy up from daycare, and that screwed up my whole schedule.”
Jason went still for only a moment, then his eyes went wide and his whole face lit up. “Piper didn’t tell me you were a dad.”
Leo blinked at him. “Uh, I don’t–”
Jason looked almost unspeakably happy. “ “Honestly, it’s a relief to know we’re in the same boat. I’ve had a really hard time dating people who don’t get it.”
“Me too,” Leo said, feeling his soul leave through his mouth. He knew he needed to correct the assumption, but Jason looked so overjoyed at the thought of Leo having a son that Leo couldn’t bring himself to do it. “Single dads club.”

And that was how Jason found himself in the predicament he was in. They’d been assigned to their own private car for the second, much longer leg of their journey, which was a good thing because Leo probably would have thrown up in a stranger’s lap if they’d been forced to spend 45 hours riding in coach after doing it for 19 already. As it stood, there was a non-zero chance that he was going to puke in Jason’s lap, but that was fine. Jason had laid out his rain coat for a reason.
“This sucks,” Leo said for the fifty-third time since they got on the train seven hours ago. He was pale and shivering and covered in a thin sheen of sweat. Jason imagined this was what Leo probably looked like with the flu, if he were capable of doing such a thing. “I hate every second of this torture.”
Just like he had the fifty-two times before, Jason hummed sympathetically and pulled Leo close to kiss his forehead. “I know, sweetheart. I’m sorry you feel bad. We’ll make sure not to go this way ever again, alright?”

Leo gets motion sick any time he's not behind the wheel. He and Jason have a sixty-four hour train ride ahead of them. Jason handles it, just like he handles everything Leo lets him carry.

Leo would do anything, and by anything, he meant anything, to be skinny.
He watched as his siblings made their way over to the dining hall. Whispering amongst them. Would it be a barbecue today? Pasta? Pizza? Would they take custom orders for once?
The bright blue, sunny sky seemed dull to him. It was the middle of summer, and Camp Half Blood was in full swing. Campers laughed between themselves, sharing inside jokes and memories that they would hold forever. They climbed the lava wall and missed the bullseye in archery training. None of them had to worry about how they looked. They were perfect, beautiful people who were strong, fit and healthy. Unlike him. He wasn’t strong. Wasn’t beautiful. His personality was shot to shit. The least he could be was skinny.
Leo’s lungs couldn’t seem to get enough air. They were heading to the dining room.

In short, Leo has an eating disorder, and all that his friends can hope for is for his recovery.

When Gatsby fails to show up to lunch, Nick gets worried and goes to check on him. Turns out Gatsby's business is more dangerous than Nick knew.
