Once dusk begins to break its exquisite colors across the vast blueness of the sky, everyone closes their curtains. Not one minimal spot is to remain uncovered. The world at night isn't safe. Within the protective shadows of the darkness, evil lurks: and that evil is not one favored by humankind. Rebels, prestiged for their infamous delinquent-type behavior, are beings that go against the modern ideals of night.
Shinonome Akito was a rebel; a bad habit, he may call it. A secret? Absolutely. Were his 3 bandmates something he'd fight to keep miscellaneous? Definitely. Akito didn't see himself becoming a rebel in the future: he usually didn't like things he couldn't anticipate. Lucky for him, Shinonome Ena didn't either.

Here were the facts: Sometime in adolescence, a person developed a series of markings on their body. They tended to be raised patches of skin, sometimes slightly red or brown, and tough like scar tissue. A person’s mark was as unique as a fingerprint. When the marks of both were placed atop one another, they’d form a solid, black circle, the lines of one filling in the gaps of the other.
Akito gave up on soulmates a long time ago. The religious zealots could scream all they wanted, but some stupid birthmark wasn't going to tell him what to do. Plus, he'd seen the fallout, seen matches go wrong and right and the unpredictability was not something he found appealing.
Until he found himself falling for his best friend. Then the whole idea seemed a little less stupid.

Jake can hide the moon etched into his forearm but never the laughter that's perfumed with obsession whenever he's recording with Albert--who wouldn’t dare to hold back his chin in the palm of his hand as Jake explains something he's definitely paying attention to. Hanging onto every word as if he wished to drench himself in bright syllables and low chuckles.
Subtlety and matching tattoos really don't go together.
