He introduced himself as “Hinata Shouyou, from the Concrete.”
The funny thing is that ‘from’ was meant to imply he was no longer there. It’s an origin, and one he was proud of. He scavenged a way to grow from there, finally getting used to the high view he fought so desperately for. The boy was blissfully oblivious to his harsh fate that would send him crashing back down to his very roots, germinating from the cracks in the cold slabs.
Or: Shouyou gets injured during a crucial point in the Shiratorizawa match, and has to fight his way back to the top. Just when he thinks he has hit rock bottom, he also comes face-to-face with much deeper issues and insecurities he has been burying.
Someone he doesn’t expect to see all the way down, is their ever radiant and confident libero, Nishinoya Yuu.

Swallowing down bile, he asks, "How long did I take to get up?"
Please have tried. Please, please, have been one of those guys kneeling almost immediately. Please have been moving. Please have let Ilya seen that.
A couple of years into playing on the same team together, Shane gets concussed. It's a little bit different this time.
