It's been over a year since Dream broke out of prison, and everything has gone to shit.
Everyone Tubbo knew and cared about is either dead or missing. Dream has taken over as king of the SMP. Anyone left lives their life quietly and in fear.
It seems like the end, like Dream has won, and there's nothing Tubbo can do about it...
...right?or, Dream gets his wish and everybody else gets copious amounts of trauma.

Tubbo sobbed, crying into Tommy’s shoulder. “Please- don’t go, Tommy. Don’t- just let me do it. I don’t want you to die.”
Tommy patted him on the back, pulling away and smiling at Tubbo even as rivers of tears fell down his face. “It’s my time to die, Tubbo. Go.” He pushed Tubbo back towards the opposite side of the platform, still smiling sadly at him.
“But- what am I without you?” Tubbo asked through sobs, staring at Tommy and reaching his hand out.
“Yourself.” Tommy replied. “Goodbye, Tubbo. Go live your life. Make a nation and live in peace, be happy, do everything- do everything I never got to do for me, alright? Take that flag in L’manberg’s crater and put it up high, right on the obsidian grid, and let it fly in the wind, alright? And- and don’t forget me, Tubbo. You’ll always be my best friend.”

“I don’t believe you for a second,” the villager said with a scoff. “Reviving the dead? You, a god? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve heard in all my years.”
“Oh? You don’t believe me?” Dream smiled. “That’s okay, I’m more than willing to give you all a demonstration. Tommy,” he called, gesturing to the blond.
Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.
Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.
