With Phil, all chances of normality are blown out of the water and for once Dan can't bring himself to care. He is too caught up in books, bears, three-legged cats, and motion picture soundtracks.

I looked around toward each side of the house as if waiting for Hannibal to walk out and tell me he was still here. To tell me he still wanted me to leave with him, that he still had a place for us even if there was no other place for us in this world. He didn’t. All I could hear was the rumble of the car engine and the wind blowing against the old house shaking the door on its hinges.
Hannibal was gone and he took a piece of me with him; one I could live without.

He is assigned to a popular band, the dreamx, to cover a world tour. Getting paid to work on nearly every continent: how rad is that? Phil's excited until the first day of rehearsal when he learns something vital: the lead singer is a complete twat. Will Phil quit his job? Will Daniel, the lead singer, realize how much of a dick he's being? Will they eventually forget their differences and become friends? Who knows. Only time will tell.
Loosely based on the song "Baby, I'm a Star" by Prince and has aspects of the film "Lost In Translation".

Unknowing of Phil's secret, they fall for one another. Phil knows he has to tell his secret eventually. Easier said than done when he's finally found someone he doesn't want to loose.

Beyond the door is a black room, and inside the room, he meets a man with blue eyes and black horns on his head. Dan doesn't know who the man is, but he feels a deep sense of nostalgia when he looks at him.
