She took him in and fed him and changed him and got him his shots, and she hated his eyes up until the day she looked at the boy and saw her nephew, not her sister’s shadow. When Harry was two and Vernon Dursley bought Dudley a toy car and Harry a fast food meal with a toy with parts he could choke on Petunia packed her things and got a divorce.

Harry doesn’t think much about the Triwizard Tournament beyond being relieved that he won’t have anything to do with it at all. It seems like he might finally have a quiet, peaceful year.
So, of course, his name ends up coming out of the Goblet of Fire despite the fact that he would never in a million years enter this death tournament willingly.
The entire school turns their back on him once more, only this time, he truly feels alone. Is this how it’s always going to be? Year after year of being thrown into life-threatening danger at Hogwarts while surrounded by people who can’t decide whether they love or hate him only to be shunted off to the Dursleys –who certainly aren’t shy about how much they hate him– every summer?
It feels like the fighting never ends. Harry is so, so tired…

Marcus’ heart raced and he couldn't understand it because there was Wood. Just standing there, his dark brown eyes looking up at Marcus and Marcus never really thought much of the color of anyone's eyes, least of all Wood’s. But now up close like this, dark pools of chocolate brown staring at him, the stubborn look of dedication...they seemed oddly...perfect.
Or the one where Marcus has a realization on the quidditch pitch and Adrian plays matchmaker.

Summary
The never ending comparisons to perfect, pretentious pretty boy Oliver Wood were beginning to grate on Marcus. No matter what he did, he seemed to come out on bottom. Marcus couldn't stand him. That was probably why he couldn't stop thinking about him, right?
The feeling was mutual. Oliver thought Marcus Flint was irritating, aggressive, and hotheaded. So when he opened his door to find Marcus Flint waiting outside, a Puddlemere branded duffle bag slung over his shoulder, his life flashed before his eyes. There was no way Flint was the new recruit he'd agreed to let crash with him.
